A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Filing down Clutch hub/basket grooves

Looks rich on one side and lean on the other..I blamed it on combustion chamber design..I tried indexing the electrodes w/shims having the open end facing the intake.Like Pro Stock Bikes..Still same results..Curious..Bike run OK ???

Is this common prioblem with charging systems..

Thanks for the input..At idle it charges at about approx.14.6 -.8 then when revved up it drops to about 13.6 -.8 ..Still charging but about a volt loss between idle and revved up..That is what I was concerned about..Thanks again

DJ stage 3 kit seems to small.

Most carbs I have ever worked on at about 3-3.5 turns out on the mix is wide open passage...Straight pilot jet...Anything after that is basically useless..I have been told..Every machine is different..What you did seemed to help..I've had to re-jet several DJ kits..Mainly bought them for there...

Is this common prioblem with charging systems..

Been working on a 85 GS 1150 It charges 14.6-.8 at idle then when revving the engine to approx 4500 r.p.m's it drops to about 13.8 or so. Over a volt loss....I've cleaned all connections, grounds etc.Could just high resistance in these old wires cause the problem.I searched the site some..Thanks..

    Sparking ignition points

Very good observations..The differences between ND and KOK....Thanks..Good info..I learned how much timing was important, when adding a little nitro with points in a 2 stroke, Constant headache ..Holed a lota pistons..lol..But yep a Dyna S probably the way to go..
