A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Will soapy water or the simple green pro get the varnished fuel out of parts like the float bowls, jets, etc.? If not, what would I use in an ultrasonic cleaner like these units?

    Master-Linked Cam Chain

Has anyone heard of using a cam chain with a master link to replace a broken cam chain? My '85 GS700ES had the cam chain break. I've heard about using a replacement cam chain with a master link so you don't have to tear the engine down completely to facilitate repairs. Any Suzook mechanics...

    Gasket Set For 1985 GS700ES

Ladies & Gentlepersons; I'm finally going to have time this winter to rebuild the motor in my '85. Does anyone beside Suzuki sell a complete gasket set for the GS700ES motor? I looked at Vesrah's online catalog, but their kit is hard to find. Checked BikeBandit, Dennis Kirk, all the usual...

Follow Up Question - 700ES Spockets and Chain Dilemma

Chain For GS700 Chain For GS700 My answer is stick to the O-Ring or X-Ring chains if you can afford them. They're quieter, don't fling lubricant onto the chainguard as much, and last a bit longer. When buying, try to get as much tensile strength as you can afford.

    More carb questions ('83 750E)

I Don't Want To Be... I Don't Want To Be... the bearer of bad news, Grasshopper, but I must. :( It sounds like your carbs are gradually being clogged by varnish from evaporating gasoline. The jets may be clear, but the passages in the carb bodies are not. Best bet is to remove the rack...

1985 GS700ES Manual 1985 GS700ES Manual :( Unfortunately, because the GS750ES & GS700ES is such a rare model, no one would want to publish a manual for it. Not enough sales, I guess. I ended up going to my local Suzuki dealer (Aero P.A. in Elgin, IL) and buying a full service manual. As...
