A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    GS1100G New petcock not sealing

Hey gents, Old petcock was weeping from around the tank and also through the bolts and also it was internally leaning, so I bought a brand new one from a Suzuki dealer(Came with new O-ring gasket). Also bought the gaskets that go on the bolts. Thought this should be pretty straight forward but...

Front mudguard for 1982 GS1100G question

Thank you mate and yeah internal fender mount bracket will be a bit hard to find here in OZ but hopefully will source one out soon. The forks are a larger diameter on the GK and also the forks are wider so a brace might be hard to find. Probably will find some aftermarket one though. Cheers

    1983 GS1100GK Aussie barn find

Yeah mate. Bike spent most of it's life in fairly dry conditions and pretty temperate weather between New South Wales and Central Victoria. Not one bit of rust on the frame and pretty clean inside the pipes as well.

    1983 GS1100GK Aussie barn find

She's coming along well. Only side covers and seat are still missing. Also keep on changing my mind about turn signals but that is easy to sort out(round or square)... Thinking I might try and fabricate some bespoke side covers as prices on ebay are just too steep and they are not easy to find...

Front mudguard for 1982 GS1100G question

Finally found a GSX 1100 KATANA front guard that fit nicely. It's some kind of plastic so not sure if it was after market. Put some primer on it for now before finishing it off properly in due time.

Front mudguard for 1982 GS1100G question

Indeed. I do have a 1983 GK and the front forks are wider but I think if you insert some spacers and use a 'G' mudguard, it would work fine on a GK

    Carburetor removal

Many years late to the party ... @JTGS850GL comment above got me through while working on restoring my 1982 gs1100gk. Exactly as described and very simple in hindsight. Just loosen the nuts around the curved piece to give some leeway to the cable, move the spring around Carb 4 to the left and...
