A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Has anybody used Marving mufflers?

A bit late, but I thought I'd add my bit on Marving in case it's useful to someone.... I've put Marving mufflers on both my '77 750B and '80 850GT - both with a 4-into-2 system using the original headers. Although a fan of the original looks, sound, and quality of the Marvings, I have a...

    GS750DB front brake specs

Thanks Hampshire - that does sound logical - nice to get it confirmed! No doubt other DB owners can confirm that their discs are 275mm. To set up up Salty Monk's twin-pot set-up, I had a set of E fork legs already installed, and I have a set of those 79 850G Tokicos that are the same model as...

    GS750DB front brake specs

Does anyone out there have any knowledge of how the parts for the double-disc 1977 GS750 (DB) differed from the single disc model (B)? I have a 77 B - single disc, wire wheels, 300mm disc, Tokico caliper with a 43mm piston. Having done a complete rebuild, I thought I may as well upgrade to the...

    A moment for clarification please

It's seems fairly obvious to me that the carb's inlet is at the rear, ie connected to the airbox - because that's where the air is drawn In to the carb. And passes Out of the carb through the Outlet, into the engine. It seems to me that the confusion may arise because when people are talking...

How many GS's is too many GS's?

In the past I've applied the mathematical approach - number of bikes falls into the simple formula N + 1, where N is the number of bikes currently in the shed. And I've shared the desire to own the complete set of capacities - but the reality of restoring, repairing, maintaining, insuring the...
