A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Another GS1100E coming back!

One more pile to be powder coated. They did a good job on my calipers: assembled and ready to go on.

Can't find it on the niche. I may be imagining that it's off of this bike. I took it apart 13 years ago.

Thanks guys. I've had the bike since 97 with the same size battery, don't think it goes there. It was glued to something. Not the swing arm stop, that is accounted for.

I am almost finished restoring my 82 GS1100E from the frame up but can't identify this part. Can anyone tell me where this foam block was located? I'm 95% sure it was in there somewhere.??

I am desperate for a correct wiring diagram for my 82 GS1100e

Awesome David, this one I can read! Thank you! I used a test light to verified that there is pressure and the sending unit works. Looks like the side stand is Green/white and the oil pressure sender is Green/yellow. Time to put on my glasses and work my way upstream.

I am desperate for a correct wiring diagram for my 82 GS1100e

I am almost finished restoring my 82 GS1100ez. I have been using the 1980-81 Chiltons and a downloaded factory manual. In the download of the factory manual the pic is too blurry to read! After 12 years I am ready to start it for the first time. Unfortunately my oil pressure light doesn't...

Need to replace shocks on my 82 1100E. Has anyone found a good middle ground between the cheap Progressives and not so cheap Ohlins? "coming back soon"

83 GS1100E Brake System Rebuild Kits?

Thanks Bwringer, but both of these links show the parts listing but none are available to order when you go to the links. "Ummm... it's showing as available from Suzuki...? (1982 1100E)" This is just the factory parts fiche, if the parts were available the price and "qty" buttons would be...
