A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Touching moment in Buffalo

At SUNY Brockport, it was a point of pride to know the lyrics. And all one had to do to learn was stay up late (2-3am) till TV shut down for a few hours. 🇨🇦

Hanging Idle (I know, but bear with me) and different carbs

Air (box) leak or malfunctioning choke? Sounds like what is normal on start up if choke isn't modulated.

    Z Max Dragway

I order 3/8 pound of deli meat at the supermarket and the youngsters working there are completely flummoxed! I tell them .38 is good. I just know if I order 1/2 pound I'm going to get .12. :(

    Z Max Dragway

Are you guys familiar with the four lane Z Max Dragway in North Carolina? I'm watching it now. What bothers me is that some races are 1/8 mile, some are 1,000 feet and some are 1/4 mile. I understand that the four lanes are meant to enhance the spectator experience, make it more like other...

Old Bike, new rider, same ol' problems - 1980 GS550E

If I were 'freshening up' my clutch, I'd also go with a brand new OEM clutch cable. I'd save the old one for an emergency.

That's certainly a real motorcycle. Couldn't you line up the shot so it appeared the cow was on the bike? I considered exercising my prerogative as last week's winner and declaring CBX the winner, but someone may yet post a shot of a tasty Sportster.

I humbly accept, but must confess that I intended to mean the oil cooler itself, not the makeshift cardboard 'thermostat.' An old and hackneyed theme from an old and hackneyed member. How about a pic with an animal and motorcycle(s) together? Extra points for a clever caption. I call this one...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

58, 59, never bothered me. 60 was like a punch to the gut. Just getting comfortable with the 60s, and the 70s are less than 13 months away! :cower:

GS1150 oil cooler on my 11EZ made a HUGE difference in running temps. Shown with it's winter 'thermostat.'

Sleeps with the fishes: I shortened the wheelbase to quicken the steering. Also changed the 'staggered shorty duals' to a shorty single, and added some texture to the oil tank. Removed the headlight cause I don’t ride at night. Still haven't got the wheels completely trued up, needs just a...
