Thanks for the vid, I will try again either tonight or tomorrow depending on how much fuel I have in there. The fact you just did that 3 times in less than a minute ONE HANDED!!! and I spend 20 minutes attempting to get it in just once and failed aggravates me lol. I'll use it at motivation!

Fork oil filling tips 83 650gl

While I'm waiting for my new springs & seals to come, I was curious if anyone had a way to fill forks while on bike. After searching the net for a bit It seem like the Schrader valve at the top is less common & I wasn't able to find any way to top off oil. My initial thought which I think is...

Need some help with Handle bars, mounting, throttle & possible control update.

Well it turns out, I apparently own a 1983 gs650gl, and on that year the handle bar mounts are definitely not molded into the upper as they were in the 82. It's all making a little more sense now Choke control didn't fit the upper tree looked different, did a VIN id and yeah the bike is an 83...

Submit OEM Throttle/Choke/Clutch Cable Lengths on GS's

A little late on the reply, the previous owner removed the handle Barr and installed clip-on style under the top half of the triple. I have been looking up handle bars but the diagram seems to a different upper triple where the mounts seem to be built into it triple. I have had little to no...

For starters idk if this is the correct section for this thread but seemed like the most appropriate based on the options. I'm looking for a Chart of OEM GS throttle/cable lengths. Wow that came out looking great!
