A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Trip to Ashville North Carolina

Trip is still on. Riding for us wont be that much different a we ride more than look for land marks. Will have to stay away from popular non-motorcycle activities which sucks because there's many! Eating take out is fine as long as there's a place to sit. We're staying at a AirBnB place so we...

    pilot screw cover

I believe the cover is on for EPA emissions. To keep them tamper proof. When covers were removed for adjustment, some people believed they needed to sealed back up. No they do not need silicone. Adjust as necessary and leave 'em

    GS1000S Rendering

I like the look of the Honda. Rear end low, single sided swing arm is not period correct but looks good, muffler looks more "normal". How about a CBX!?

    750 TSCC Rebuild or Replace?

Not sure why these get such a bad rap? I road raced mine for a year before it got bent up. Pounded the hell out of it. Changed oil and adjusted the valves after every race week end. Just by getting rid of the 630 chain it was the fastest bike in the production class. I was NOT the fastest...

    Master Link Sealant?

And if one doesnt have good knowledge, or the proper flaring tool, the rivet type can come off too. Before my cheap arse bought the proper tool I used a vice grip, a ground nail then a center punch to flare the rivet. Worked, but very back yard.

    Trip to Ashville North Carolina

I agree on protecting others, will stay away from popular areas. Mn parks are full of people cuz the Gov told people to get outside and enjoy nature. There seems to be many beautiful areas to visit, but the itinerary was changed by covid from great roads and destinations to just great roads...

    Trip to Ashville North Carolina

We can take freeway's almost the whole way. We have 2 drivers so we can drive straight through. We will be staying at a AirBnB place. It hasnt been shut down as of today. We can eat breakfast and supper at home, pack a lunch for the road. There are plenty of places offering take out. Looks like...

    Trip to Ashville North Carolina

Myself and a friend have had a trip to Maggie Valley North Carolina planned for some time. It is in the Asheville area. We are coming from Minnesota. Not afraid of the covid thing because we a little common sense, ride to our selves and stay on the curviest back roads we can find. Figure we will...

    Vintage WSBK races

One of my Favorite's. Last race of a 2 race weekend. Troy Bayliss/Ducati had been killing them all year. Colin Edwards/Honda finally found their groove. Both can win the championship. It comes down to the last race of the season. Because Edwards won the first race of the weekend, Bayliss must...

Front brake drag after new master cylinder and lines

You must install new caliper seals and use only oem parts. After market brake parts are junk. There will be corrosion behind the seals that must be removed. Scothbrite works like sandpaper but more easily conforms to a round bore. I use a dremmel tool to remove the corrosion in the seal groove...

    GS1000S Rendering

A retro looking Yosh slip-on would get rid of the muffler. I'm assuming thats a euro-spec muffler? All brands seem to have that hideous style.

    GS1000S Rendering

After seeing the new Katana I was rather disappointed. Rear end high in the air, 3.5 gallon tank, kind of a pooch in the midrange. Kawasaki nailed it with their Z900. Here's a rendering of a new GS1000S. Sign me up. I got a deposit written already...

    Chain Lube?

Cleaned the original factory chain grease (very tacky and hard to remove)with a chain cleaning brush and clean motor oil off of the Versys. It was extremly dirty from previous owner at 4.5k. Now the chain gets noisy when it needs lubing(never did before). This could get like an oil thread. Yes...

    Help with site contributions

I have repeatedly tried to donate to website using provided links. EVERY link I have tried to use tells me it is a non existing web address. I want to donate, and to remove "past site" donor. I use the site often and want to contribute. It works for E-bay and Net-flix so I dont believe its a...

What should I fill my bike with?

I put in high compression pistons in a Triumph Sprint 900. Never checked to see what gas i should use with the new pistons. Dyno tuning confirmed a lean spot at 5000+/- rpms. That is right were the bike ran 75% of the time. Heaven forbid my cheap ass would spend .07 cents on a gallon gas, nope...
