A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

A true legend has gone RIP Hulk Hogan

You now have access to Vortex. I do not know who you attempted to contact or how but I only became aware of your wish in this thread.

With the theme being "middle of nowhere" I have to give a vote to Burque73. There isn't even a road visible.

Yes, I was unaware until recently that this glitch (loophole, whatever) in the fuel standards are what helped kill off the great little Japanese pickups we had back in the 70s & 80s--perfect for hauling motorcycles and parts but still able to park on the street without traffic cones. I haven't...

    Slate Truck

Some of you may already be aware of this thing but I just stumbled onto it. A well backed start-up will be selling a simple, no frills EV pickup for under $20,000 (after government incentives). No infotainment, no touch screens, hand crank windows, all the same single color (gray). But designed...

Adam Reinke passed away Monday the 24th.

Sorry to hear this. Like others here I shared time with Adam at several rallies--both riding and drinking/discussing beer. Taken too soon.

Whose driven on the left side of road? Any timely tips?

Anytime I pop over the crest of a hill I expect to see the oncoming traffic in the left lane and the right lane clear for me to proceed. That is the picture my subconscious mind is prepared for after many years of riding and many thousands of hill crestings on right side roads. .

Whose driven on the left side of road? Any timely tips?

I have never driven a car in a left side country-- only ridden motorcycles and I never had any real problems. What I still remember happening way more than once though is cresting a hill on a two lane road being startled by the oncoming traffic. "That fool is in my lane." :nightmare: It only...

    Pic of the week game

Lots of really great shots this week.but I am going with Steve Murdoch. A well framed shot suitable for framing. A pic that was so many's second choice does not deserve a goose egg.Trevor nailed the theme best and Rich's ;packing style warms my heart.

    Friday afternoon safety meeting.

Trevor, is it the case that in Victoria in order to register to vote you must prove ownership of a vintage motorcycle? It sure seems that way.

Secondary drive drain plug cracked casing

Can you carefully screw the bolt back in? That would keep the threads lined up while you attempted any repairs. It is not under pressure. The lubricant it holds is very thick. And it is very rarely opened. If I found myself in that situation I would screw the bolt in and then cover the...

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

Assuming they are the same as for the 850G that is definitely the case. I have found it difficult to get the airbox on the carbs but my rubbers were not exactly primo most times. If you think it would help to make the boots more pliable you can try soaking them in a wintergreen oil solution...

When do you expect ev bikes to become practical road bikes.

EV batteries are recycled. The materials in them are too expensive to go to waste. They also can be used just as they come out for the car as grid storage for renewables power producers.
