A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well gents, I finally got back into the project today. That was after I converted the shed back into motorcycle workplace. So I had the time today to take off the rear wheel, the shaft drive, swingarm and shocks. All I have left to get to bare frame is take off the engine and front end...

Don, after the initial teardown I got tied up for the past few months with working 2 jobs and building a chicken coop. Needless tosay, not a lot has happened in several months with the bike. I hope to get things moving shortly now that the coop is done and things are settling down a little. And...

I thought I would expand a bit on what this forum is for... The intention was to create a new forum for members who REGULARLY sell GS parts or provide a GS repair service. If you are just selling some parts that you have laying around, then post your items in one of the appropriate For Sale...

Thanks for the info. Yes, I will definitely be needing parts especially nuts and bolts. The looks of the final product are pretty important and most are rusty. The tougher things will be the luggage racks and the exhausts. I am keeping track of what needs to be replaced, rechromed, etc. and...

I tend to be a guy who likes to keep things mainly stock but with an eye towards mods that enhance rideability or performance. Tassels hanging off the bar ends just doesn't do it for me. ;) The interesting part in all this is seeing what's out there in terms of parts nowadays. Frank

I would like to thank Don for bringing this idea up, as well as supplying the motorcycle for this project. I'm honored that you would even consider doing something like this. Thanks so much! As Don mentioned, this will be a project bike of sorts. The intention is to get it running reliably (if...

And I am going to stick my nose into this conversation... Yes, I have no doubt that Eric has been helpful to forum members. While that may be true there are real reasons that he has been banned in the past. While I won't go into details, let's just say that he has a tendency of "going off the...
