A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Considering something European

I love the R's. I was close to buying a little one (65) a couple years ago that was pristine. We just couldn't quite meet on the price. Here is a nice one: https://westernmass.craigslist.org/mcy/d/bmw-r100-rs-1981-classic/6449753998.html

    Thoughts on FJR 1300

Congratulations! I have ridden the FJ many times. However, the one I rode was 26 years older than yours! Good luck and enjoy it.

You just caught us sleeping. Cooleys have been bringing twice what you paid last year, for a long time.

That's a good chunk of change for a Kat, yes? I don't watch them much but it seems from what I have seen 14k is a high number for one.

    Mecum Motorcycles Las Vegas

What a difference a year makes! The Cooley just sold for 12k at auction. Do you remember last year the Cooley at the same auction sold for 5k and then the buyer went on to eBay and sold it for 15k. I was wondering if the Cooley could be stolen this year, like it was last year....nope!

That looks like a very fair deal.

Modern Motorcycle most like a real 80's UJM ?

I was surprised to see Kawasaki give the retro bike a go, considering that Honda's attempt didn't go over too well. In fact, I think there are still some Honda CB1100's from 2013 and 2014 still available as leftovers.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

A few years ago they were for sale all the time, usually in the 8k Range with a couple thousand miles. You are correct about today, I did a search on CL in my surrounding states, as well as eBay and nothing! I guess the owners see the value in then since they no longer make them.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Nice!!! I have eyed these XR's for years and I really don't know why I haven't popped on one. You got the best color combo of the three (I think) available. Have fun! I did own a 2001 sportster 1200 custom a while back. Almost no miles put on it. It was fun riding around the block but not...

    Back Again

Nice Job and there are several here that share your fondness towards the S. Hey, would you mind riding that bike down to Rota and take a picture of it in front of my old house?!!

Everyone should have a caliper in their tool box. Cheap ones at HF for a buck usually

This is the one I have had for years, no issues. I forget the brand but if any one needs to know I will pull it out and look.

    The rusty old scooter.

Coming along nicely! Are you considering a full restoration at this point? You got me searching for a scoot, I almost had a 1958 Tempo but was just a bit too late.
