DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    The rusty old scooter.

I remember this scooter catching my eye a few years ago when you posted a picture of your GS. Very cool scoot! I would love to restore one, but it will be easier to just watch you do it!

    How's the CB1100 selling?

6K for a new CB1100 sounds like a great deal. I have seen a couple retro paint jobs on this bike and it look awesome. Have seen it done in the cb900f silver scheme as well as an early 70's CB750 scheme.

    This rarely happens for me.

Those 3 wheelers are cool and quite collectible. I believe they did away with them for safety reasons. You can't turn at speed without getting tossed off unless you are spinning the rear tires. Congrats on a nice find!

    Craigslist "funnies"

So, he is asking $800.00 for his $20.00 bike because he either needs money for his baby or firearms.....I see the correlation.

    1982 CB900f

IMO, the Canadian version of the 1100f was so much cooler than the US version. The gold wheels, omitted fairing and CBX style gauges made for a better looking bike.

1997 Ducati Monster 750 Dark, not a restoration, just a fixer upper...

I have always liked the Monster's. Interested in how you find it to work on.

    New Shadow toy

Nice looking bike. Funny....I was out and about in NH this weekend and noticed seeing a lot of the VTX's up here. I like how low they are, looks like a real easy ride.

Very nice of you to say, but we simply consider it as just doing our part. And it's pretty cool when you have a hobby that you can make some good come out of it!

Thanks for the link, I will pass it on to him. He still has his prized possession but it doesn't get much use, understandably. But he does like to wheel and deal, not sure where he got that from . I am sure he will appreciate that site if he is not already aware of it.

Thanks for all the kind words! I didn't expect this thread to head in this direction, but I am good with it. Ya, the loss of my sons best friend has been a tough one. However, I am amazed at the strength my son has drawn from his friend. He has done some amazing things since his friends...

I am a bit surprised over the love this K bike is receiving here. It is settled at this point and this bike will remain 100% stock. And if I might add, you guys kinda know I don't cut *h*t up, right? Anyway, as much as I like stock, I also respect other peoples thoughts, including my son's...

I am sure everyone agrees that if Get Back Whips were to be added to this bike it would be nothing short of perfection.

Thinking about buying this 750 Suzuki

I have given better bikes away for free. As others have said, find something better to work with.

Sorry about that. This thread seems to be getting me in trouble. I'll blame it on the Honda.

Lol, stay calm. My son does in fact want to caf? this bike. He wants to build a tribute bike to his best friend that he lost a year ago. Some of you may remember that we auctioned off the Kevin Schwantz bike in his name. Anyway, I am with all you guys and this will certainly not be the one.

The pipes are in near perfect shape, but a bit long for my liking. I am simply going to cut them off just in front of the rear shocks. That should give me the look I am after, plus those useless baffles should fall out at that point. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best hammer to use...

Slightly less than a dollar a CC, which should keep me in good standing with GSR regulations.:p

I didn't mean to alert everyone, my apologies. I am not one to veer too far from OEM. But if I do, Steve will have to take some of the blame for posting that fantastic looking K mod!

Not a real exciting bike by any stretch of the imagination. However, it is nice shape and it was priced so I couldn't say no. Purchased it from the original owner. Hasn't been started in at least 10 years. Inside the tank is a bit ugly but the rest of the bike barely has a scratch. Brakes...
