DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Suzuki GS1000L OEM Exhaust System NOS / 0 km / Original 1979 – Rare

The 1980 1000S exhaust is very similar, but not identical. For example, the S pipes have indents for the brake and shift lever, and because that bike has rear-set footpegs, the indents are somewhat to the rear.

[1982 GS750T] Pilot Screw Adjustment and Vacuum Sync Confusion...

Experiment some, and come back and tell us your results. My guess, the vacuum won't change from pilot screw adjustment. Regarding the sync rpm, I lift the rpm a little before doing sync. And put a fan in front of the engine.

Dyna S vs. Chyna S ignition

I've read over on the KZ site that the backplates on some of the chinesium units are poorly drilled, if not completely backwards. The electronics are reputed to be good, though. I wouldn't worry about the backplate, as long as you can get it mounted up properly. Ignitions like that are set...

As long as you can get the module to mount up right, it should work fine. The price is right, too!

    1982 GS450 - No Spark

Hi Pete! Glad to see you back here... For the most part, the Chinisium Dyna knock-off kits have a decent reputation. Dirt cheap on eBay (here in the states, anyway). I'd go that way. Worth a try anyway.

    Paint code need help

The color code is 12G, ECLAIR BROWN METALLIC Sadly, having the code doesn't mean you will find a paint formula. If you find one, be sure to share. Most people take a sample body part to a local paint supply place, and have the sample matched. Paint stores have color computers which get the...

Gasket or crush washer or special crush washer?

The Suzuki crush washer is nice. It's some sort of plated tubuler formed washer. Much nicer than some cheapo type crush washers that are just a donut of flat aluminum (like on my Honda car). https://www.ebay.com/itm/365912646592

    Will I die? - 1987 Suzuki GS450L

According to the parts fishe, Suzuki used tubes on the '87 450. Unless the wheel says "Tubeless Tire Applicable", I'd use tubes. And again, you can run Tubeless tires, just as long as you put a tube inside. FWIW, there are many threads here discussing converting tube-type wheels to tubeless...

    Will I die? - 1987 Suzuki GS450L

Pretty much all tires are labeled "tubeless" these days. That means they can be installed without a tube. Such tires can also be used on tube type wheels, as long as a tube is installed. So in other words, Tubeless = mount without OR with a tube. With a used bike, you should examine the tire...
