A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    couple of Cam questions

cams cams You cannot check the cam centerline at .040" lift. Cam centerline is the absolute peak of the nose of the cam. However you came up with the numbers you did, you did something wrong. You need to determine top dead center of the piston, then zero your degree wheel at that point...

    V&H Sidewinder Pro Pipe - 4:1

pipe pipe Dan, I can't believe the non-response you got from Vance and Hines. The pro-pipe has all four header tubes to the right, the collector will be right below and behind the ignition cover. The megaphone exits straight back from there. On your "G" model it will interfere with the rear...

What would you call this style?

most definitely probably not the last word most definitely probably not the last word Here's how I see it. More people on this forum spend more time nit-picking whatever someone else has for sale or is riding than they do working on or riding their own bike. This one doesn't have stock...

    '01 Katana triple on '78 GS 750

front end front end Hi, I'm pretty sure I have a Katana triple clamp setup for an early gs750 chassis. Let me know if that sounds like an easy way out for you and I'll see if it is still in the shed

Mikuni RS Series vs. Mikuni VM33s on a GS1150ES

misfire misfire If the exhaust note is crappy, you have at least one dead cylinder. A squirt bottle with some water sprayed on each header tube with the motor running would tell you quickly which cylinder is not firing. Water will vaporize instantly on a cylinder that is firing, it will bead...

GSXF Katana forks and carbs question.

kat parts kat parts Hugh, 88 is the bastard year. If the wheels on it are six spoke then the wheels and rotors are 88 600 only. Even the cush drive only fits the 88 600. Forks are the same as 89-97 600 . 89-97 KAtana 600 and 750 use the same wheels, ( 3spoke wheel looks like small GSXR...

the turbo is back.. this is a long one

turbo turbo I'd jhave to agree about blocking off the wastegate. If it makes that much boost you can't get of the gas quick enough before something bad will happen! I would think you have something wrong with the turbo. It's not going to make any boost by just blipping the throttle, but under...

    Suzuki Rear Sets

rearsets rearsets Bandit stuff is bulkier than the GSXR parts. 89-92 GSXR stuff is plentiful and relatively cheap. Make an "L" shaped bracket to bolt to your frame and bolt the GSXR stuff to the verticle part of the bracket. shpe the bracket for whatever footpeg position you need. cut the...

    Suzuki Rear Sets

rear sets rear sets I have a couple sets of Raask rear sets. They are only OK in quality. The castings are cheap, hardware is more hardware store than high tech, but they fit and work OK. I've been using 89-92 GSXR stuff on most of what i've been putting together. You can bolt the whole...

    Max Camshaft Lift

Cams Cams Sam, With a lift that large you should be using a shim under bucket set-up. Jay's right the Kaw stuff is smaller. Also you will probably have to clearance the head to fit the cams. Usually anything over about .375 lift is going to be really close to the edge of the valve spring...

    1978 gs750 turbo questions

fuel pressure fuel pressure I don't have any experience with the Zenith carb but 3-4psi works well with my 42mm Mikuni. Even a couple of PSI should be enough to get it to run, I'd be careful about boosting it up without fuel pressure as they can get real lean , real fast.

    1978 gs750 turbo questions

Turbo, Turbo, I use a Holley electric pump and regulator. You should be able to check the pressure on your pump with a standard fuel pressure gauge to see if it is the problem. In a previous post you mentioned that the turbo was leaking oil, bearing shot and fins bent...Then the rebuilder...

    1978 gs750 turbo questions

turbo turbo Rspector, I'd be interested in buying the turbo stuff if you are going to not use it. I have some GS1000 stuff that would bolt into your 750 frame. I'm in southern CT, I have family north of you in NH. I also have cash if you 'd just like to sell. You can e-mail me at...
