A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    goldwing versus 850

man that seat looks comfortable. My stock seat on my 850 is very comfortable.I remember my gs 1000, it was the first seat I ever rode on that was comfortable all day long. As far as 6 cylinder goldwings go other than having to replace the timing belts they run forever. My valkyrie would pass the...

what do you think about this one

well its unanymous.Noone likes it.To me Honda already has the st 1300, f6 b.Now this.I think it is a direct competition for the roadglide. And the f6 b is for the streetglide.Personally I would take the honda any day.

    goldwing versus 850

I agree with you wingsconsin.I owned 2 83 ventures,88 wing,96 wing,04 ultra classic,01 royal star tour deluxe, and a valkyrie. The ventures are great bikes as are the wings, but they are really meant to be ridden straight down the road hour after hour mile after mile,in comfort. But around town...

    goldwing versus 850

I agree with you Steve. On my last goldwing, I loved doing 85 and feeling like it was 50.I loved the cruise control. That is a feature I wish every bike had. But seldom do i tour. But a friend of mine just bought a venture. That is why the whole touring bug got restirred up.

    goldwing versus 850

bwinger, you are right.I am not quite happy. I have days off now, am going to check into my tire age, look for airbox and or oring leaks, replace boots etc.I remember 8 years ago when I replaced the head gasket on my gs 1000, you had a really neat trick for compressing downward the spring on the...

    goldwing versus 850

My bike has a k an n filter put in it.I am going to take it out once i investigate.I am thinking that is why it is surging.I know we all know what an 850 looks like, but mine is really a nice looking stock bike. I owned a bandit before too. They are what many guys here try to make out of a 1100...

    goldwing versus 850

You're right. I love the weight of the 850.Its perfect for me.I have a tour pack to mount on it,doesnt weigh much.Once I get tc bros forward controls I will be good to go.Goldwing motors last longer, but the bikes are much heavier. And who rides a bike for 200,000 miles anyway? few people. I...

    goldwing versus 850

I like my 83 850.I have hardly got to ride it yet.But I was wondering, I am thinking about a 1500 goldwing. If a 850 was dressed out, minus fairing radio etc but with tour pack and saddlebags which bike do you think is better? it would take a lot to dress out my 850, that is why i was thinking...

It sounds like the st 1300 is dead. But its motor lives on in this bike.An excellent 200,000 mile motor.

    taking carbs off-synching

I plan on just replacing the ones on the intake.I have missed the majority of the riding season, so I will wait till it gets cold to disassemble and clean.it gets down to 40 here, about 65 at noon.Still some riding time left. But eventually it will be 3 degrees.

    taking carbs off-synching

I am going to take my carbs off and check the orings, airbox, boots etc. Will bench synch be necessary or enough? From what i read its a matter of putting like a paper clip under the butterflies and adjusting the nut and screw to get the opening the same on all 4 butterflies.I think some of its...
