A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Handguards on a GS?

Hand Guards Hand Guards I put these on last winter and I think they took 5 degrees off of to my riding limit (commuted down to about 19 I think , but only for a few miles;)). Easy peasy to install, just like bar-ends. Got 'em from Twisted Throttle.

    New Bike Project!

Front End Swap Front End Swap That's not a "T" model front end either. T's had a single disk and that looks like a pre 1982 wheel pattern. A front end change (upgrade?) that included the headlight & clocks might explain some of the wiring issues. Good Luck in your endeavor... Oh, and the...

    Show us your workstand

Lift? Lift? I use this and the centerstand for anything on he front end :o. I had to mark it with a Sharpee "M/C Lift - DO NOT REMOVE" so one of my boys wouldn't use it or my wife wouldn't toss it :) And I use the centerstand alone for anything on the backend. Still hell on the knees...

    GS750EX refurbishing

Mystery Wire Mystery Wire I just pulled the airbox on my E model for a peek and there's no wire connected to that location, it merely holds the clamp for the battery vent. And mine doesn't seem to have a wire that size anywhere. Have you tried to trace it down? Perhaps it's the ground for a...

    Video: is my tach broken?

Speedometers and Tachs.. Speedometers and Tachs.. work off the same eddy-current principal. The only difference inside (on mine anyway) is the speedo has a gear to drive the odometer/tripmeter. Awful picture but I think you can make out the magnet and cup...

    Video: is my tach broken?

Tach Problems Tach Problems Here's what I found when my 750E tach went wonky... The cable turns a magnet inside the gauge body. The magnet field creates an eddy current that turns a "cup" which is attached to a calibtrated coil spring that is attached to the needle of the gauge. My...

    starter nose o ring

Starter O-Ring Starter O-Ring I went through this on my "T" model. I tried the ACE Hardware approach trying to save time, after all its just an O-ring, right ;). So I took the old one with me and tried to match it up. Too big... and even with all the cussin' & fussin', I couldn't get the...

    OEM Gaskets???

"OEM" gaskets "OEM" gaskets Well I'm glad everyone here is satisfied that Suzuki brand gaskets will always be available :o. 'Cause I'm not looking forward to making gaskets and, yes I have Vesrahs in the garage as well (though I hope I won't have to use it as the last two leaked). I guess I...

    OEM Gaskets???

Okay, I learned the hard way (twice):o that OEM valve cover gaskets are the way to go. No leaky, I likey... Partshark has always been my go-to for OEM stuff, followed by BikeBandit...but low and behold they've both quit carrying the valve cover gasket for my GS750EX. I checked my local...

    Colortune quirk??

Is the No. 2 pipe getting hot :-k? Sounds like you've got fire and no fuel. Plugged pilot perhaps? I have to add this though... I tried the Colortune on both my 750s. The only change I could make to the nice blue flame was if I ran the screws all the way in until the cylinder blacked out...

    First Time Valve Adjustment Opinions

Colortune? Colortune? Let us know how this works out for you. After struggling with a Motion Pro manometer I went for the Colortune/Carbtune package. Since I really can't do much with the "highest RPM" method I was looking forward to trying the Colortune on both of my 750's. I could go lean...

1980 Suzuki GS 750E Suspension Suggestions

Clean the Damper Rod Clean the Damper Rod While getting my '81 E road ready after a nine year nap I found the front end to be pogo-ing really bad. What I found was that over 28 years solids built up enough in the forks that the damper rod orifices were plugged. I don't think they could have...

    Odometer Quit..750EX

Last Saturday, on my way home from the ritual weekend ride, I noticed the odometer wasn't working. Thinking that maybe it was in a bind, I punched the reset. Nope, nada, nothing. The good news is I'll always have a low mileage vintage bike. The bad news is I don't like "broke stuff". So...
