A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Craigslist "funnies"

Collectors bike? A 92 500R? No, nope, not exactly. And even in Canadian funny money $5500 is a joke.

STA-BIL in Every Tank or Just During Storage?

Not the bike but my snowmobile gets Startron every tank and it hasn't hurt anything.

    Heated grips or gloves?

Heated grips and solid bark busters/deflectors is the answer. That's exactly how we ride on sleds in temps 50 below freezing. And sometimes colder! In those circumstances we use full gauntlets/muffs, but I don't think I would be comfortable with them on the bike- they take enough getting used to...

Best Japanese super sport 600 for occasional track and weekend rides???

My adventure to Alaska, as promised at the Dave Davis Rally earlier

On behalf of my boss, he would like to thank you personally for two things... one, I spent almost an entire work day reading your report on one computer screen while I had Google maps open on the other, tracing your route. Second, he might not know this yet, but I am going to have to figure out...

What to do and see in Vermont

Cabot Creamery, Ben and Jerrys, if it's leaf peeping season you can see all the colors right from the car. Burlington has all sorts of breweries and restaurants- if you like beer it's a good microbrewery state. Manchester VT has stick your nose in the air shopping. Queeche Gorge is cool to see...

Not bike related, but boat stuff.

Yep, I'm with Steve, I think it's going to be ungodly heavy. Give me an idea of your desired, finished product. I boat a lot and have seen everything, but some more information is needed for guidance. What size are you looking to make? How many passengers? Fishing, cruising or both? What's your...

If you guys want to get the full New England experience you should plan a trip for the Green Mtn. rally. You'll meet the best of the northeast GS Resources members and ride some fantastic roads!

    Backroad along NH /ME border

That's exactly what I thought it was. Just on the other side of Hurricane Mtn. Road. Roads all look pretty similar in that area I guess!

    Backroad along NH /ME border

Oh, likely my most favorite road in all of NH/ME! Definitely in the top 3. Picture is great but does it no justice. Very twisty a bit further north!

How do I make exhaust noise as quiet as possible

Do whatever it takes to find a nice, stock 4-2 header and pipes. It's best for fuel economy, it sounds better than anything, it's quiet and increases the value of your bike. Downsides are they can be expensive in good shape and they are heavy. Just my opinion but nothing is better than stock pipes.

    Are Uggs proper motorcycle footwear?

Jeez. Just look for CE Approved ankle armor boots. Something like these is what I wear (actually those are what I wear, earlier model):
