A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Pod filters with stock exhaust?

Good choice! I found the best way was to loosen everything up, remove all the bolts for the air box and try to push the carb rack as far back as possible, then remove the intake manifold boots. Then it's pretty easy to get the carb rack out.

Really?? I'm shocked you let your son trade something for that bobber in the first place! I mean, it's probably not the best hobby for a blind person!!

    Title?

That's how it works in NH. We get a form from the DMV for the coppers to fill out. You can bring the bike to them at the station or one time they even were nice enough to send an officer to my house and do it. We don't have titles for bikes older than 10 years.

Is there a better bike for me?

Mmm-hmm, sounds like a Concourse fits the bill. Or the aforementioned K-bike, also a nice option. Bob, is there anything funky with maintenance of your K-bike? Like $45 oil pan drain bolt washers that you HAVE to use or something like that? How long between suggested valve adjusts? I'd love...

    Thumbs up for Jake Wilson.

I had the same experience with my favorite shop. Had them quote tires and the price difference was so huge that I couldn't say no to buying them online. When I brought the wheels and tires in to them to have them mounted, they stated that their insurance doesn't let them install tires that were...

    Tires - Sport Touring Radials

I've run PR2's and 3s on my FZ1 as well as Jedz123. The PR2 got me an unbelieveable 6500 miles- the most I've ever got out of a tire. Usually wear through a set of anything in 4500 miles. I don't have a lot of mileage on the PR3, but as said, it is very good in the wet. Ride quality on both is...

Machine shop. Definitely. I wouldn't chance it on bars.

Just about said something to "Got Harley" guy.

When I actually used to wave to other bikers I found I would get snubbed by Goldwing riders the most. They seem to be the most stuck up, nose in the air bikers out there. At least here in the North East.

FZ1 to be Tour'ed finally AT HOME!

Yeah, that's a Bandit... no one cares about them- but an FZ1? Now we are talking about a nice machine! Whatever bars work for you is fine!

Wow, I was really happy to see another FZ1 in the hands of a GSR member- UNTIL I SAW THOSE BARS!! Just kidding, to each their own.
