A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

All right, looked like it would work too cool...........I got mine from Indysuperbikes for $21.95 (but shipping was another $11).

    Chicken Strips..

Mine too, but I share the same excuse as you (in addition to just being old with clay feet) - that stretch of Y closer to Lodi than Sauk ispretty great, KP from Cross Plains up to 19, parts of 60, especially between Gotham and Muscoda, 133 along the river east of Avoca, 171, 131 (especially...

    Helmet to jacket seal?

I'm just making a wild guess (maybe based on your name) that you didn't have to watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding to come up with that.

    Chain replacement instructions?

    Perfect......but I used a Sawsall with a metal-cutting blade....it was sweet.

    Chain replacement instructions?

It may have already been mentioned - I've only gotten so far in the thread - but yes, do loosen the front sprocket before removing the chain. It can be a b!tch to turn that thing and it helps to have solid resistance. Even with that, I snapped a beautiful old ratchet and bought an air impact...

    Teknic Stinger jacket from newenough

Okay, I had four motorcycle jackets (Vanson all-perf leather, Hein Gericke non-vented leather, Teknic Hurricane and a Joe Rocket Phoenix). I wore the Phoenix a little one summer before I got the Vanson, then stopped wearing it (redundant). The Teknic I only wore when it was really cold...

Yet Another Cafe Build (my first)

I'm always impressed by the work everybody does here. Good job.

    A pic!!

Lots of dick-waggin' here. I think both bikes look great and are probably fun to ride. First one looks lighter, more spare, but the second looks more carved from a block. They're both nice. I don't build sh!t, but I appreciate people's efforts. I like to ride (for a constant 40+ years) and...

    1200 Bandit VS Gs1100/1150

I can?t remember the figures exactly, but my friend John had a ZRX12 a couple years ago that he got over 170hp from, plus over 100 on torque from about 4000 up, maybe even lower. He had about $11K in it and sold it for $6K+. Not a lot of miles, either, and very clean, but he was getting wimpy...

    gs1100e and synthetic oil questions

Synthetic, Rotella 5W-50, blue jug. I have spilled some while filling, but I don't know if that constitutes a bad experience.

    Leaky tach drive

Thanks, chef, Fig. 1. it is. Back to bikebandit. I just want to fix it because it's messy (anyone who's seen my bike would find that more than a little funny).

    Noob!!?? But you're right, sorry..'82 GS1100E.

    Leaky tach drive

Everything was fine this weekend, but I noticed some wet appearing around the tach drive. Assume I need a new seal. Where do I get one? Checked bikebandit, but they changed the drawings on me and it?s just too hard.

    headlight

I haven?t ridden at night in months. Unfortunately, at the moment I only have high beams. I think the bulb is fine, but the thing it plugs into at some point partly melted and is fairly brittle. I bought a new one, but haven?t installed it yet??..but I have a dream??

Found a small flyscreen for the 1100E

I like it. I had an old Yamaha with a quarter fairing and I really liked the way it blocked the wind. Still got undisturbed air to my head, but it blocked it from my torso, so I could just relax my arms. When I got the E, I started looking for possibilities. Actually, I was looking for what...

    You guys remember my chain?...

And just as a little note from my well-documented (b!tched about) conversion,...........Loosen the nut on the front sprocket before anything else......

It seems to me ? correct me if I?m wrong (and it?s irrelevant to the post) that the greatest thing one can do to keep carbs in good order is to ride regularly???am I right?
