A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Dead, something electrical....

Thank you, thank you............I will ammuse my daughter in the morning while I poke around. I really don't like to go a full day without a bike...it's probably why I always used to have at least two, but I don't right now.

    Dead, something electrical....

I haven't checked anything yet. I've been lotsa dad. I'll go out in the morning. The battery is a year old. It was very strong when I started it first thing in the morning, then after shutting it off for twenty minutes, I turned the key and hit the button and it all died. When I push...

    Dead, something electrical....

So, this morning I went out and fired it up. Let it warm up a few minutes, then shut it off. When I was ready to head to work, I tried to start it. The dashlights came on when I turned the key, then it clicked when I hit the button. This happens sometimes, so I took off the seat and...

    Full face or other?

It's difficult to come up better reasoning than that, Billy.

    Full face or other?

Full-face only ever, nothing else is even a helmet. I?m one of the semi-Ricky-racer guys, probably because I ride a lot, a ride kind of fast, and I?m old and I don?t really want to wake up dead. But it?s also because it?s more comfortable. In town, it?s just helmet, boots, jacket and...

    The Bluffs of Prescot WI

These are views I get every summer. I take about three solo weekend motorcycle camping trips every summer. I pretty much restrict my riding from Galena to La Crosse, but only some along the river. After all these years, I still find lots of great roads I?ve never been on. Thanks for posting...

    Thumbs up for UJMs

I don?t think there?s a station anywhere around here where you don't pump. A few years ago, I was in Plattsburgh, NY and needed gas, pulled into a station near the old AFB and had to wait for the attendant, a very slow, very fat guy. He waddled out, filled my tank, took my card and was gone...

    GS1100 Aftermarket Mirrors

I have some cheap Emgos and, while the Napoleans are better, I?ve had no issues with my cheap $15/pair mirrors. The field of view is the same as the Napoleans, but I?m sure they don?t stand up to life as well. I want to CMGs, but I can?t bring myself to part with $180 for mirrors, so I...

    Header Performance?

I don?t know that I would?ve bothered putting a header on my bike if it didn?t already have a header and K&Ns. When I bought it, it had a Kerker. I trashed that for a V&H just for the relative ease of oil changes (which are still an absolute b!tch, but I don?t have to remove the pipes). Stock...

Does a Sport Fairing = wind protection?

    Oh,....ooops, left out a zero.

Does a Sport Fairing = wind protection?

I don't know where your buzzing is coming from, but mine was from the point where the fairing contacted the headlight housing. Stock Wes Cooley's, I think, had a space between the fairing and the headlight, but mine touches. I simply took a couple of those little round sticky felt pieces made...

Does a Sport Fairing = wind protection?

I think you’ll be surprised how well it works. I had that exact fairing on a Yamaha and I have a Wes Cooley (similar size) on my GS1100E. I like wind, but the real tiring thing on unfaired bikes is pulling yourself forward at higher speeds. It adds a lot of fatigue over the miles. This...

    Bar arguement

Same here too. I was diving for four years before I got certified in 1977. My PADI instructor from then is still my best friend, 31 years later. My younger brother was certified the year after and my older brother two years after that. In his usual fashion, the older one became an instructor...
