A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    Krauser Saddlebag Installation

Mounting Frames Mounting Frames I had Krausers on my 1978 GS1000 and the fittings are the same for my 1981 GS1000G. Unfortunately the Krausers were replaced due to age with an Australian manufactured set of panniers. However the mounting seemed to be very similar. Using the top of the shock...

Why it won't fire up! Why it won't fire up! And some people wonder why they won't just fire up. It doesn't take a lot to make them run. Just spark, fuel and air in the right proportions and compression and off they go!

GS1100G new owner Love/hate from day one!

Run it on 95 or 98 Run it on 95 or 98 Great looking bike you have! I run my GS1000G on Premium 98 octane and she loves it. The little extra cost for the higher grade fuel (supposed to be cleaner and better quality according to one mechanic) is worth the expense. Where are you located?

    GS1000G R/R replaced with ZZR600 Unit

My R/R was replaced about 18 months ago and so I decided to find out it's origin. The unit has SH 658-12 stamped on it so I Googled the number. Appears to be a Kawasaki ZZR600 (GPZ600) unit. Does anyone have experience with these or have information on their suitability? Thanks in advance.
