    DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Tired Turn signals

    Turn Signal Mounting Turn Signal Mounting When I brought my T-model home the signals were all droopy. Thinking the rubber cushions were shot, I ordered OEM replacements from PartShark. What I found, on disassembly was that there is a plastic spacer that fits into the cushion. The spacer has a...

    GS750T Tires GS750T Tires I've been running "IRC Durotour RS-310 Bias Sport Touring Street Tires" 120/90-17 Rear and 100/90-19 front. I like 'em. I've gotten over 10k mile on the front (it needs to be replaced) and you should get close to 6k on the rear. 120/90-17's are hard to find and the...

    '82 GS750t Airbox/Carbs...putting it back together?

    I understand your frustation. If you think pods were created for performance, think again :rolleyes:. Take a look around a little on this site and you'll see that everyone with a stock airbox, and I mean everyone, has struggled with mounting the carbs. Some bikes are worse than others...I think...

    Fuel Gauge Quit on 750TZ

    Fuel Gauge Fuel Gauge Thanks for the reply... I haven't been able to get back to it yet, maybe this weekend. You've confirmed my next two steps though...1) check for 12V at the gauge and 2) short the sender leads and check for a full reading. I did a little research on the bulb. It's a...

    Fuel Gauge Quit on 750TZ

    I was replacing the dual HF horns and relay (with a broken mounting tab) on my beater (1982 GS750T) last weekend with a WOLO unit I pulled from my E model. Somewhere in all the re-wiring and such I touched something hot to something grounded :o and popped the bottom fuse in the fuse box. I think...

    Location for Owners Manual

    I bought my 1981 as a left-over in Mar of 1982. I'm lucky to remember that much detail :o. I DO know that my owners manual was supplied in a zip lock bag along with some safe riding tips brochures. And it has never been carried on the bike. I know this because it's still in the same bag with...

    Tachometer's making noise

    Look here... http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=183183 I had one that started screaming right up until the cable failed at the tach end connection. The root-cause might be that the inside of the tach needs cleaning/lubrication.

    1981 gs750t frame question

    You need to first determine what bike you have. There's no such thing as a 1981 GS750T. The "T" was available in 1982-1983 only... if its a 1981 it has to be and "E" or an "L". There were slight modifications to the engine in 1982. Perhaps someone else can speak to the mounting points and...

    520 / 530 Chain Conversion;

    630 to 530 Conversion??? Do it. 630 to 530 Conversion??? Do it. I converted by GS750T from a 630 to a 530 and think it was a GREAT improvement. Qiueter, less driveline lash, smoother all the way around. I may not can wait to convert my '81 E model. Dang 630 chain is still loud even though...

    Bouncy Tachometer;

    Bouncy Tach Needle Bouncy Tach Needle If it turns out to NOT be the cable, it's a pretty easy chore to clean the internals on the blockhead bike's gauge pods. I had this issue on my 1981 750E which has a similar pod to yours. These units are "eddy current" devices having a magnet, spun by the...
