Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

What's a close match for my 81' GS: Stardust Silver mettalic ?

I'm going to bring a side cover with stock Suzuki Stardust Silver paint in 'always covered/garaged,great condition' over to Autozone in Dixon,Ca. today. I just called the manager and they said that they have roughly 11) shades of silver in Duplicolor on the shelf. There's also an autobody shop...

What's a close match for my 81' GS: Stardust Silver mettalic ?

Thanks. ;) I called Napa where I live in this city. The manager told me about the large Napa paint center in Sacramento; you mentioned a paint supply house, that would be easier. I gave them a call and spoke with a man who told me they can try to take a picture/scan and hope it will match(I'm...

I like your idea of the GS1100E wheels? installed onto the GS750ES.. I imagine a modification would certainly be necessary considering the change from a 16" to 19" front?? of course the rear is already a 17" on the 750.. The more I think of it,a change from the stock 16" to a 17" front wheel...

    Grass on the road

The operator of the mower needed more training and should be reported for causing a hazard. I agree with making passes starting on the edge of the road way with the outlet chute facing in toward the center of the grass divider section and away from the road.

I have found that Shinko 712's aren't available in my exact stock sizes:they were what I wanted. I like the Bridgestone BT-46 which I chose very much and well worth the $.

    Grip glues

I've used Honda handgrip cement in a decent size tube:the size tube lasts for plenty of grip installations and holds good.I've also used Scott handgrip cement which comes in a tiny, little tube which is only for one set of grips:that worked good also.

    83' GS750ES tire choices..

Yes that's true. The car I hit sustained damage to his right side rear bumper. My damage was scratches on my left fork tube 'lower' which was the main contact point although the Infinity's rear bumper absorbed all of it so i was able to drive away w/o bent parts. My back needed a few adjustments...

I didn't then but now(about 95%)I'm that much closer. A car brake-checked me 6 months ago.I was able to ride away with minimal damage to myself and the little Honda.I slammed into the guy's right-rear corner of the bumper cover of his Infinity 50 causing his car damage:my insurance is going to...

    83' GS750ES tire choices..

I've made a bunch of calls to different suppliers lately,so far I've found the Bridgestone BT46 is available in both my stock sizes. I've let this bike sit under a cover while I've dealt with other things, but now I want to get it on the road as I have all the other parts needed except tires. I...

Thanks for the feedback Dave. I called them but nothing for my sizes. I had given up looking a while back:just been riding my small bike. The weather's getting warmer here and the tires are the last thing holding me back.
