    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Managed to wrestle the carbs back onto the bike after warming the inlet rubbers and wd40 . On to the air box de greasing , then painting .

    I did take them apart fully to the bare shells and had all the orifices that were gummed up emulsion tubes pilot jets and air jets ect . Replace all the o rings that had gone hard . Ill be running stock air filter even though i have some k&N pods from an older project . There were some adaptor...

    Yes i have the 4 rubber plugs . The tiny holes in the jets were blocked so cleaned all them and glad i took them out as well as the main jet emulsion tubes as these were worse . Surprised it ran at all . Put new needle jets and seats in as the needle jets were worn quite bad . Reason i ask all...

    Hi folks ive just rebuilt the carbs on the 86 Gs 850 G but 1 question . The pilot jet next to the main jet , does this screw right down tight or is there so many turns out thats needed ? Not the pilot air screw just to be clear . ;)

    Mounted the new horns in their rightful place and took another engine case off ready for its matt black paint . I got the idea of matt black casings from Mr Kaplan who was showing a Gs 1000 with the black casings . With the chrome allen bolts it really sets it off :D

    Thanks for the welcome . Well the rear master cylinder pushrod thingy had seized solid so i bathed the begger in ATF for a few days . It came free with a bit of light tapping and the bore wasnt that bad but cleaned it all up ready for the new pushrod and seals :D Quite surprised the old seals...
