A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Since i am trying to cut down on special tool costs (i just want to many) I found a DIY tutorial for the colortune on flyingbanana. It is good but the chipping away the porcelain is blunting my chissels in no time. And it?s difficult, easy to damage the metal etc. I found an easier way and...

    Transatlantic picture quiz.

And the winner for the first correct answer and description is Ed. The extra prize for the good photo goes to Rich. Pedal bars are banned in parts of Amsterdam (downtown) because of urinating in public, public drunkenness and blocking bicycle paths. That last fact causes most complaints ;-)

    750/850 hybrid pistons search

I did not know they made reliable Honda pistons (i never look at their forum :-#) For me this is a challenge building a block from the ground up. And this is the first time i am looking for upgraded pistons. The idea of forged pistons and higher compression seems nice for tuning.. The different...

    750/850 hybrid pistons search

Well, Cruisin image sells a set for 150 $ compared to 440 $ for a original 1mm oversize set. Not that the original set is available but the huge difference made me suspicious. There are no long term reviews, it seems to good to be true and cheap is often expensive. I might be wrong but i don't...

    750/850 hybrid pistons search

I am building a Suzuki GS750E with GS850G cilinder block and head. The cylinders fit the casings after some persuasion. I expected to buy some nice forged pistons but all i can find are the 69mm Wiseco?s for the 750 block. Then I saw a set of 71 mm GS1000 MTC Pistons at SPS. (no affiliations)...

I got a cilinderblock from ?79 and it had interference. Not shure wich year the casings are. Just the last inch or less on the front half circle of the cilinders and a bit on the rear corners of 1 and 4. The dremel helped out great.

GS 750 E air filterbox rusts at the breather pipe

Altough i love my air filterbox ( easy to remove vs 1000, easy acces to carburettors) there is something that?s bothers me. The pipe where the breatherhose is connected is rusting away and leaves bits of rusts in the pipe. The top part of the airbox has a path straight to the airfilter (not...

    8V 750/850 top end swap

I have read about it but can?t find it anymore. The first gen. 850 cylinders should fit the 750 (8V) casings. But what was that little detail about clearance; was it a problem with the second gen. 850 ? Or do the first gen. also need to be cleared ? I don?t want to grind the loaded cases and i...
