I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    GS(X)1100E turbo EFI

The boost gauge is up to 15 psi, so in the video it jumps around 3 psi. Well, that's a VNT turbo so when there isn't boost the vanes are closed and it acts like a very small turbo. That's why it builds boost so easily.

    GS(X)1100E turbo EFI

Then it was time to try starting. So I filled the tank (yes, the oil was already in the engine :p) and turned power on. Result was generous fuel leak between the injectors and the fuel rail. So the fuel rail off, cleaning and lubing for injector o-rings and everything back together. After that...

    GS(X)1100E turbo EFI

Finally something to update. First things first: It's alive again! The project has been almost totally neglected last few months but during two last weeks I have managed to arrange some time for it. At first I finished the wiring. Or actually almost finished. There's still some connections to...

    1150 EF updating project

My GS has been on hold last six months due to house building. But last weekend I started to work on it again. The wiring harness is real pain to make but now it's close to ready. I hope to fire her up quite soon. Yep, that emission test is ridiculous expensive, even compared to price of a new...

    1150 EF updating project

Actually the emission test run in Sweden costs close to 3000 Euros, as far as I know. And price is the same regardless if you pass or fail the test :) I think that here in Finland are couple of companies that do emission tests for cars but they don't have suitable equipments for bikes. Yep...

Where do you guys find your GSXR front ends?!

Yes, the bearings and stem work but you still need need to modify lockstops. And steering lock if you want to keep it. And you need to make mountings for the handlebar if you aren't going to use clip-ons. Heavier springs are also highly recommended. Quite easy swap though. I have done this with...

    GS(X)1100E turbo EFI

To start it up, that could happen quite soon. I guess that I would need only couple of good working days to get it ready for start. But it may take some time before I manage to arrange those days. Test ride? Not before ice and snow melts which will take about five months :(

    GS(X)1100E turbo EFI

Wiring continues. Is this scribble supposed to be a wiring diagram? How on earth you can do anything based on this kind mess?! Who moron has drawn these? Oops, now I remember, It was me...

    GS(X)1100E turbo EFI

So it became this winters project as well... But it will be ready for next summer even if progress continues as slowly as during last few months. Few pics about what I have done after last post. New more compact ignition trigger setup. Fuel lines, pump and filter mounted.

    Fuel Injected Turbo GS

Yes, no problems. You need just RPM/tacho signal for the Mega. Actually it's maybe even better to start with fuel only setup. Ignition side is bit more complicated and could be quite confusing for beginners. And if you try to do both fuel and ignition at the same time troubleshooting can be...

    Fuel Injected Turbo GS

Yep, the Microsquirt is very good choice for bikes. It's compact, waterproof and has all basic features without extra modifications. Downsides are limited expansion options and price. The stock pickup should work with the Microsquirt. The pickups are actually VR sensors and the Microsquirt...

    Fuel Injected Turbo GS

Thanks! I have been using green Dyna coils by this far. Now I have already installed some Dyna "racing" coil but I haven't tested it yet. I'm using my own Megasquirt board version which has IGBT transistors to drive the coils. What Megasquirt version you are going to use? You can use Dyna S...

There is very good guide for degreeing cams: http://medlem.spray.se/biker661/ Click "Modifications" and then "Camtiming".

    Fuel Injected Turbo GS

Actually that GS is mine. There is also a thread about my later updates for it: http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=101698 I guess that you may get some performance gains with EFI, most likely nothing dramatical but something nice anyway. When I converted from carbs to n/a EFI...

    Fuel Injected Turbo GS

So you are trying to get bike section on MSEFI.com? That would be nice. Though I'm afraid that changes for that are quite small. I have understood that admins are quite reluctant for changes. And to be honest there isn't too much strictly bike specific things in Megasquirt installation. If you...

    Interesting electrical hassles

Sorry, missed by 150km :) I have some wiring diagrams for 1100 model. I guess that they are pretty close match to your bike. Just PM me if you want a copy. Or if you just would like to discuss about your problems in Finnish.

    Front end compatibility?

I had a GSX600F front end on GS1100 too. I used progressive springs for 750F, which are slightly longer, to get more preload. In addition I used thicker 15W oil to match damping to stiffer springs. The result was pretty good, definitely stiff enough but I had a feeling that a bit more damping...

    yamaha Fuel injection.

Well, when I first installed just fuel injection on my stock GS1100 I got 14hp more (from 95 to 109) and plenty of torque for low to mid RPMs. But I changed also the exhaust at same time. The fuel economy stayed about the same level, maybe improved a bit depending on current tuning. Later I...

    yamaha Fuel injection.

Megasquirt is controlling the ignition advance based on RPM and load of the engine so there isn't mechanical advance anymore. I have build my own trigger setup in place of the original signal generator, it's shown on one pic on my page. I have also removed original "CDI" box since the Megasquirt...

    yamaha Fuel injection.

If you really want I can write simple instructions how to install a Megasquirt on GS. Or actually tell how I did it. But I don't see any point to write very detailed instructions since everyone wants to use different parts and do some things on different way. About tuning. It's possible to tune...
