DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

PARTZILLA - Carb Boots and Clamps Issues

That is a good idea. I emailed a lot of manufacturers trying to find a 7.25mm wide band hose clamp in the size I needed.... nada. I ended up putting some heat proof and fuel proof rtv on the head side, let dry a day, then clamping them down. I noticed that every one of the head side clamps is...

    Anti freeze and boots.

A friend just told me that he heard that B12 may puff them up. I may try the torn one I have to see if it works.

    Anti freeze and boots.

I guess no one has replied to you on this since 2011. I am in the same boat researching... i bought brand new boots from patizilla and even the brand new ones would not seal completely around the header inlets. I even sent the boots back to partzilla to forward to suzuki to see what they say...

PARTZILLA - Carb Boots and Clamps Issues

Yes thank you, that is a good point, and yes I have had a zip tie on each side holding them in place, just snugged up so they do not sag.

PARTZILLA - Carb Boots and Clamps Issues

You are right, ALTHOUGH if they are having more complaints like this it would indicate that either they are shipping the wrong parts, or Suzuki is manufacturing the parts to the wrong specifications. Either way, I would be interested to hear if anyone else is having this issue. In this case it...

PARTZILLA - Carb Boots and Clamps Issues

Oh yes. I originally bought the stock boots and stock clamps from them. They were responding to my request for better clamps than what they sold me.... since they are leaking. Partzilla just informed me that Suzuki only warranty for 90 days even though I rode it less than 600 miles and it...

PARTZILLA - Carb Boots and Clamps Issues

I have a 1986 GS1150 engine. Has anyone had issues with new carb boots and new clamps not sealing off vacuum leaks on the head side? I spent over $120 on new boots and clamps at Partzilla. My bike warms up and starts to fast idle, even when adjusted all the way out. When you lightly push in...

Fuel hose size from peacock to tee connectors between carbs

Thanks GR, I did notice German VW 7mm lines were available. I ended up ordering some 7mm and hopefully will have enough for the carb line as well as lengthening my hanging gas bottle line so I can dork with the carbs without the tank on.

Fuel hose size from peacock to tee connectors between carbs

That is good to know. I just have to decide which one to order. I have a gs1000 petcock, an 1150 engine and bandit carbs. I did not realize they sell it with extra, I was wanting to buy by the foot, because I wanted to buy extra for a gas bottle that I hang to adjust the carbs.

Fuel hose size from peacock to tee connectors between carbs

It is hard figuring out what material they are made of. I like the yellow hoses but they get hard and then are difficult to put on. I've been looking today and noticed Fluorine Rubber Fuel Line may have the closest characteristics to the OEM line, but I am not sure. Trying to find USA sources...

    Mechanical Tachometer to Electronic Conversion

Thanks for the leads. What Acewell do you have? or do you have a picture of it on your bike? The speedhut gauges may be the answer to use in the stock housing IF they will fit in the OEM eggshell case for the tach.

    Mechanical Tachometer to Electronic Conversion

Thank you, I like the look of those since they look more balanced, and would take up all the radius of my windscreen. You have given me something to keep an eye out for. From a quick look, I guess it's the pre-1998 I need to focus on. I like the 1991 SUZUKI KATANA 750 gauges the best so far.

    Mechanical Tachometer to Electronic Conversion

Thank you, you are right, they aren't an exact fitment, the brackets have to be adapted... actually I have several 82 gs1100e gauge brackets that I could adapt it with. As far as the looks, my 82 1100e is actually modified to look like a 78gs1000... so these gauges appeal to my senses for...
