    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Hot!!!

When I was young, we never 'hydrated'. When we were thirsty, we went to the building's laundry room, clambored up the sides of the slop sink and drank cold water. If someone had told us not to overdo the 'sodium', we would have said "pass the salt shaker on your way back to whatever planet you...

    Hot!!!

I can explain - this is NOT what it seems like. I had no clean underwear, so I didn't wear any. I was standing there enjoying the show, when all of a sudden my clothes fell off. Completely innocent and beyond my control!

    I resemble that remark! 🙃

Attention! Joke coming...be forewarned... Chuck, if that was $3400 Canadian, it would sell like hot cakes (with Canadian bacon)! Do they even have BLTs in Canada? Okay, back to our regularly scheduled programming. 😬 GLWS

    Hot!!!

Three women called me in a single hour last night. Known one from 1974, one from 1979 and one for three years. Calling and texting (two have the same name), trying to arrange a 'hat trick' Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. (40 years since that happened.) "Damn," I thought, "I still got it! Rob's...

    Pic of the week game

We used to true wheels by tightening or loosening spokes. What’s the current procedure? I'm guessing it involves rubbing compound. Very abrasive rubbing compound. And some elbow grease.

I've heard of those things in the second pic. Aren't they called dual seat warmers - one for each cheek?

    1974 Laverda 3C

Exotic Italians are in a class by themselves. I wouldn't mind pushing that MV a few miles...up hill! 😎

I have a feeling this is going to be a stellar week. Who doesn't have countless ooooops? I'm assuming oops, ooops and oooops don't qualify. 🤔

I mailed that vote 2 weeks ago! Check the postmark! Voter fraud! Rigged elections! I propose we cancel all elections till we straighten everything out. I'll be in charge till we catch those criminals. First order of business: I'd like a raise!

To each his own. That thing is not in your Laverdas league. I was thinking, how could anyone make that monstrosity even worse? Say it with me, "Shaft drive!"

    1980 or 1982 GS1100E--Which Would You Choose?

If it’s an 82 11E, it was designed to run with an oil cooler. Plug & play, and a big difference in oil temp. You might want to look into it.

Things that make you say why?

No, but I'd hate the person who did the mod. Background info, FYI: I hate Harleys. Virtually all Harleys. BUT... I LOVE Sportsters. Virtually all Sportys, except those ruined by brain damaged POs. I've seen newer Sportys with the belt removed and replaced by an old school chain and sprockets...
