A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    GS1100EX Regulator/Rectifier

Please do. Just to make sure hookup is correct. Grounds are important. Is the SH775AA mounted to a plastic fender ? Fuses are all good ? Batt good ? I think your stator output is fine. Its the SH775AA or your wiring. Im OK when my bike voltmeter shows 13.8 - 14.3vdc and it normally does at or...

    '82 GS1100E Starter Clutch Removal

I would ! Mine didnt bang. Just the sound of the starter spinning because the big gear came out far enough to lose engagement with the other gears. That was several years ago. With the help of my friend, who is a bike rebuild guru, we lapped the crank to the clutch with an aggressive...

    '82 GS1100E Starter Clutch Removal

Just wait till it falls off......like mine did ! Looking back, and now knowing the small taper 1100E crank has some gremlins, I wish I would have taken mine off or at least re-torqued the nut before the ugliness happened.

    Where to get paint

Ehhhh.... I traded in a Silverado that I had for 5 years and it fit me like a well worn pair of jeans. Still getting use to the F world. Its growing on me. The more I look at it though it appears the 2016 Ford paint has a slight blue/purple in it that the EZ does not have. The ferd also has a...

Very slight wobble when shut off the throttle at 100mph or more?

Everything you've done Ive done twice. I have a weave at 100mph that is very un-nerving. DO NOT want that to go to a full on tank slapper. Like I said.....tried everything. The only thing that works for me....don't go 100mph !

    I got another red one.....

The 82 red paint is called candy fancy maroon. It has gold metal flake like the truck. The 83 red is more like a Honda red. Just red. I sprayed the fender with some paint I found at our shop. 1 coat sealer, 2 coats base, 2 coats clear. The Ferd is a 2016 XLT. Yes, I believe it is "military...
