All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Suzuki Mad, I would be eternally grateful if you would consider shipping it to the states. I would gladly add it to my ever growing pile of parts. It would also make a fine mate to my Metmachex! PM inbound

Finding a custom tooth count 520 sprocket

The rear sprockets that I have purchased from them have been beautiful & works of art. It's "customer service" and an "iffy" front sprocket for a GPz that makes me shy away from them. I sent 1 sprocket to them to duplicate & they forgot to return it with my new one. The reply after sever emails...

Finding a custom tooth count 520 sprocket

Sprocket Specialties could set you up, but I haven't had great faith in them after the last couple of transactions with them. Good luck salty_monk

    78 GS1000 suspension upgrades

I hear you. I swapped out my 83 forks for some 89 forks. Went from "kid sister" skinny, no adjustment OEM forks, to fully adjustable 43mm RSU forks and kept my 18" wheels. Parts were easy, others more complicated. I wanted to keep my wheels as they were already aftermarket & kinda "period...

    Ron Ayers Motorcycles

I can also vouch for Ron Ayers. Couple weeks back I bought a complete set of rockers from them on Friday, and they shipped on Monday. Pretty impressive in todays day and age.

    Cam Degreeing or not

10 degrees? Really? You would be OVER 1 tooth off on a 30 tooth Suzuki GS1100 sprocket

    Cam Degreeing or not

I think what zed is referring to, is the "lobe center" method whereby you would roll forward until you get .040" of valve lift and note degree wheel. Go at it from the other side until you get .040" valve lift and note degree wheel. Lobe center is the mathematical difference between the two ie...

Yoshimura style hand bent short exhaust gs 550

Chris doesn't list one on his website, but he's a very capable fabricator. http://www.motogpwerks.com/

    GSXR exhaust swap?

As the GS you have, has the timing chain in the middle, and the GSXR has it on the end of the cam, exhaust spacing will be different. If you can put your hands on an earlier oil cooled exhaust, the exhaust port spacing will be very close or exact.

    Anybody know where I can get a needle jet (Y-6) for a 1981 GS450SX?

The Y6 number looked familiar and sure enough, I got mine from jets-r-us several years ago https://www.jetsrus.com/ worth a try

    520 chain and sprocket conversion

Sprocket Specialists https://sprocketspecialists.com/ in UT provided all the pieces for my conversion. My bike with a 160/60 18 didn't even come close to rubbing the chain even with a 530 O-ring
