A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Rotella T4

Been using Rotella T4 and T6 for a decade or more in all of my bikes and cars, have recently noticed the DR350 and the GS 550 getting a little bit harder to shift. Not a clutch thing, it does it when shifting with or without the clutch. Makes sense that it's because they changed their...

    Balancing beads

They don't work? Then I wonder why they make my dirt bike with one old school heavy ass rim lock on each wheel quit shaking?

    Balancing beads

Been using them a long time. They can even balance a dirt bike wheel with one rimlock. So much better than weights, and very easy to use. Tubes or tubeless, it matters not.

    GS550 Acting Over-Jetted

What Mr Humbucker said. I have never found an old bike with questionable maintenance that didn't have something wrong inside the carbs. Something clogged, something adjusted wrong, something worn out, something broken, something jetted wrong, something leaking, something hardened, something...

The latest in LED head lights

Ah, so any that run without that get dim at 6 Volts, all I have tested is the little tail lights and turn sigs which don't have it. They light up at 6 Volts, but very dim. I guess all of the expensive ones would work as you say. The light bulb in my head just came on, thank you. Now where did...

The latest in LED head lights

Have you guys in your research run across any LED H4s for 6 volt electrical system? I know a lot of them say 6v - 34v or even 6v - 80v, but I can't imagine they would be bright at all on a 6 volt system? Thinking 6 volts is probably where they just start to glow a little bit?

Dual brake conversion on a GS550

Pull that plastic cover off, there are bolt holes there already. Both forks, both rotors, both calipers, to do it right get some new brake lines, the braided steel ones are the best. The bonus is the 650 forks work better than the ones that came on the 550. I could use a few 650 parts....
