DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Fuel Leaking From Exhaust

Well I've encountered a problem that exhibited the same thing you've described. This also was on an 82 GS450, it would run good , not missfire start right up an\d it had fuel running out one muffler. And the winner was an o-ring on one of the float needle valve was shot so it simply by passed...

    Sensor bypass/left switch bypass

I did a modification on my own GS which allows the engine to be started in neutral without pulling the clutch in but it will not start in gear unless you have pulled the lever as normal. Just took some research, head scratching a relay and a diode.

Cargo rack / backrest suggestion for GS750?

It just so happens I do have a KG rack with a few adapters, a backrest / sissy bar, and a trunk. It was used on my GS1000E so it's liable to fit. Also still have the instructions I believe.

77 GS750 Rear master cylinder alternatives?

There is an alternative to replacing the MC. Providing that you do have the internal components to over rebuild it consider having your MC sleeved. Did it on mine. No more needing the entire MC to be replaced.

Red Loctite on fuel mixture screws.

Prior to the last rebuild of my carbs I purchased a bottoming tap to make sure the threads for the mixture screws were good to go. Use a M6X.5 bottom tap.

Why are CBs and KZs the popular ones.

Last one this time. Last one this time. This time another " Riding Into History" picture. Taken during a rest stop on the " Grand Marshall's Ride " this is Kevin Schwantz relaxing on my ET. The organizers ( Bill 7 you know who you are ) asked if Kevin could use it on the ride. Of course I...

Why are CBs and KZs the popular ones.

Well no I didn't consider doing a swap like that mostly because one had been totaled out from under me by an impatient girl in a car. When the ET was replaced 2-3 weeks later I said I was going to wear this one out, as of today not yet. Not to mention the PO of the ST actually sawed off the...

Why are CBs and KZs the popular ones.

Back in the late 80's I had both a 80' GS1000ET ( still have it ) and a 80' GS1000ST. The ET was/is stock and the ST was modified with Mikuni 33 mm smooth bores, green coils, a 700 Lockhart oil cooler, Kerker 4 into 1 and was stock bore. obviously the ET would quickly accelerate from a traffic...

What general/preventative maintenance or checks should I do on a new purchase?

Something that will help. Living in FL the biggest issue I've faced is leading edge corrosion and rust anywhere is next with alloy right in there. l use a product known as ACF50. It's a purple fairly thick anticorrosion liquid used on military aircraft ( Navy ). This stuff works, it doesn't...
