    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    mill them off yes. after that the choices are wide. mine has blocks of aluminum bolted to the head and carb spacing widened. then rubber holders bolted to the block.. (31-26) --so my head can only use lectrons, VM, or TM individual carbs.

    low comp 1428 runs pretty good with rs 36 and a set of .348"s' I have a epoxy head that I could take photos of.

    stock engine will run out like a wild cat with a 14-49-48-47 and get to top of 5th gear at redline. -- but you are going to wheelie off of the line. wheelie bars 68" wheelbase suggested for that approach.. next choice is almost stock 15-47- 46 maybe 45 and your launch will be manageable

    your bike is going to really fly with the giggle gas. we'll throw some gearing for top end and give it a tiny squeeze -- 3-4 tenths is a very big jump but anything is possible with a GS.

    inspect your timing advance unit- if it is frozen in place you will have this exact problem. it should move freely and snap back. verify that your vacuum slides are lifting fully . after that recheck your carb work

    go for it! great way to make it very custom and stream lined. I yank that huge bunch of shaggy sticky wires and reuse some of the hard plastic plug bodies. You have many choices for connectors and some new tools will necessary . some mounting/rearranging possible .. creativity necessary ...

    The piston rings and your cylinder are both ferrous -- moisture or acid etch can cause a rust ring that may have pitted the sealing surface. This is another possibility causing this smoking issue old oil and condensation are the enemy to cast iron and steel and aluminum -yada yada yada --
