A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Unknown short, no power anywhere

I couldn’t tell ya off the top of my head. I know I found continuity between my chassis ground and some of the main fuse box power wires without a battery hooked up, and the other big issue was a somehow internally shorted AGM battery. Got a yuasa just a few months ago but after testing it, if I...

    Unknown short, no power anywhere

Alright, now I found all the wires in the turn signal to be shorted to each other, as well as the headlight bulb, tail light, and still getting nothing. This is way out of my skill for electrical but I’m gonna keep going, its not gonna fix itself.

    Unknown short, no power anywhere

I have an 82’ GS650E and for the last few days I’ve been battling some random short issue, where I have nearly ~0 ohms resistance from terminal to terminal with the battery off and key in the on position. As soon as I pull the main fuse, I get readings in the megohms again. Checked as much as I...

Yeah, but I have a 82 gs650e. I’ve found premade kits for the g but the e has different brakes which is why I didn’t know if there’s anyone who’s found a kit that’s for my model specifically.

    Brake line compatibility?

I’m looking to refresh and get some stainless brake lines on my 82’ GS650E. Just recently got it running well enough to ride and noticed even grabbing a fistful of brake it’s pretty pitiful. Anyway, I was curious is any other gs’ like the katana etc. has direct compatible lines, because from...

Tip on how to "easily" get your carb rack back into the boots

Interesting, I’ve had success with disconnecting the metal part of the airbox from the plastic, pushing it back, allowing a little more room, then mounting engine side boots solid, tossing the clamps on them super loose, and putting the carb rack in pointing down towards the engine, after they...
