A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Vermont registration for lost title bikes

You should double check that Chuck.I'm not sure how a state DMV cannot accept another states valid registration. If the state does not issue titles, it does not issue titles. I think you would be good with it. I'm in CT, I've had a couple guys at work get vehicles registered here thru the same...

1987 GSXR 750 fork. performance mods.

Sharpy, 1st gen 750's and 1100' s have the same fork diameter but the offset on the triple clamps s different. I'll have to check but if I remember correctly, 750's have less offset than 1100's

    Thoughts on FJR 1300

Wife and I rented a 1200RT on a trip to Oregon a couple years ago. Bike had 60K + on it, we put just over 1600 miles on it in 4 days. Awesome 2-up bike, very comfortable, rock steady handling. it was on our short list when we were buying. Just too expensive to leave in the garage for the couple...

Rearsets for an '80 GS850G...other similar models that would work?

100's and 850's have a different spacing fo the Raask rear sets. Somewhere on a shelf in the shop I have a set of Raask rear sets for an 850, That's how I know they will not bolt directly on a 1000 frame. For what it's worth the Raask sets use one foot pg bole and one engine mount bolt as...

    Thoughts on FJR 1300

" Sold mine spring of 2003 for what I had paid for it in 2002." For what it is worth the FJR's seem to hold their value very well. Love the Connie's motor, the 14 is nothing like the old 1000 Connie. I'm in Connecticut, everything we looked at was priced well above KBB. The Honda was a steal...

    Thoughts on FJR 1300

Going to throw my 2 cents in. Rode pretty much every sport tourer out there when the wife and I were looking for a better 2-up bike. Loved the ZG14 but couldn't find a decent deal on one. Liked the FJR's also. Took a ST1300 for a ride and bought it. Just added a Givi top case, helibar risers...

Billy, not to jump the thread but I have a couple sets of 74mm pistons for two valve motors I bought from MTC. Got a set of Turbo pistons for my 78 1000 and a set of big dome pistons for my sons old race bike. I use the 1100G/GK cylinders, the sleeves are thicker than the 1000 sleeves and can...

    Cometic Gasket

I use Cometic gaskets on both my 2-valve bikes. They made what I needed for the 1176 motor and stuff for the 1115 kits . I'm sure they can supply stock, 1085 and 1100cc gaskets

    Bandit 1200 forks, $1,000,000 question

If you are putting the bandit forks and triples in your GS1100 you will need to press the stems out and swap them. Bandit stem is longer than GS. Yes they use the same bearings. You may need to make a bushing/ spacer for the top clamp depending on what GS triple clamp you have. I'd be...

    Registering a replacement motorcycle frame?

A new frame from a dealer should come with a certificate of origin or a MSO or whatever your state calls it. Your DMV will take that certificate and issue a VIN for it. I don't think you will get far with DMV without the original paperwork.
