I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Lol that description is funny (It shouldn't say GZ). That's for a Katana though. Different part number.

Help finding '82 650G Fork Tubes

I really need help finding new fork tubes for my bike. I'm currently sourcing parts to rebuild the front end of my GS650g, however I'm having difficulty sourcing new fork tubes. The current ones have pitting. I tried to use racetech's website to look up the model of tnk fork tubes for the bike...

    Aftermarket front master cylinder suggestion

I haven’t reassembled. This would be the initial tear down. I just ordered the rebuild kit afterall. I was trying to find the most economical solution, because I need to buy yet another specialty tool to get that snap ring out of the MC. So the cost of the tool plus the rebuild kit was going...

Front Wheel Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Size

Any updates? Did the cheapo MC from eBay work out? I have the same bike and am looking for a replacement part

    Aftermarket front master cylinder suggestion

Exactly! I rebuilt my rear master cylinder, and never installed it on the bike. The rebuild kit came w no directions, and I’m not sure if I put the cup in the right way because now the piston on that is acting like it’s seized. Sort of want to throw my hands up in defeat.

    Aftermarket front master cylinder suggestion

It can be rebuilt. The angle of it on the new handlebars isn’t even. I see an aftermarket one on dime city cycles for $80 versus the rebuild kit for $40. Just trying to wage whether it’s worth the headache to deal with the god forsaken c clip to get the piston out (getting the pistons out of...

    Aftermarket front master cylinder suggestion

82 gs 650 g. Piston is seized on my front master cylinder. Obviously the boot is trash as well. Any reputable master cylinders that I can use to completely replace the front master cylinder versus a rebuild? I tried buying the master cylinder off a 82 650 gl, and not only is it different...

GS 650, issue with carb 1

Sorry just got this. I changed the float valve. Broke the rules used after market parts. And found one of the new needles/valves already failed after a few months.

GS 650, issue with carb 1

Oh and just an update- checked pilot jet passages. They’re clear. Rechecked float tang height and made adjustments to the one that was off. I have the dyna jet main jets installed (155s). Is this something where I’m going to need to move the e clip? I’m not sure how the measurement on the...

GS 650, issue with carb 1

Trying to sync the carbs w a colortune. Originally carb 2 was giving us issues so we pulled the carbs, I realized the float needle was bad, I replaced it, adjusted the float tang, and everything was in spec clearance wise (22.4mm +/-1mm). Put the carbs back on. Carb 2 is leaking gas now so...

    dyna s ds3-2 install on gs650g

You probably already know this, but the DS3-2 is compatible. Dyna tek says it’s not, because the oil pressure signs is in the way. get A dremel, cut out a crescent, make sure you don’t knick the wires and it will work

Thanks guys. Its working well and now I have the document saved/ So I checked the clearances, changed shims, rechecked clearances, installed a new gasket on the generator cover, and a new gasket on the cylinder cover and the breather cover. The bike isnt starting up now, and instead just...

Choke Modification back to plunger style?

Alright…tell me if this is a dumb idea. I live in Texas so cold weather isn’t really an issue. Since the GS has both a prime function and a choke, could I try to bypass the choke all together?

Choke Modification back to plunger style?

Suzuki "improved" the choke assembly on the 82 GS650s by moving the choke lever from the steering head to the leftside hand controls. I'm planning on wiring up aftermarket hand controls (already purchased), but completely overlooked the fact that now I dont have anything to attach the choke...
