From OSS: look of an EFE review link in aircooled

"any thing to look for when buying 1100 efe"

My first front tyre tended to wear unevenly on sides and before changed made handling a nightmare.

The tyre choices I have seemed to make handling great.

    rear....140/80/17 VB Pirelli Match MT08
    front....120/80/16 V ditto MT09

But they're old now so there must be alternatives....hope this helps

Dunger King, I would have to politely disagree with going to 120 on the front. The availability of 110/16 tires is limited, but I found much better handling characteristics with a 110 vs. 120. At maximum lean the 120 profile is like a cliff. Just an opinion of a 12 year owner of an 84 1150. I really enjoyed the 110 Michelin Macadam front, but they are hard to find.
      GS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ES
