    Color suggestions? before I repaint

As some of you know, my roommate backed into my bike right before the end of the season and put a dent in the side of it. The dent is right where all three colors meet so I'm going to have to repaint the whole thing once the repair is finished. I'm keeping the same design, but I'm not sure about the color. I get a lot of compliments on the yellow, but it's a bit too yellow for me. I love the look of my bike in black and white photos because the tank looks white. I was maybe even thinking about going with like an antique white or something.
I'd love to hear anybody else's thoughts or suggestions.

I think I'm going to shave the emblems off as well while the repair is being done. Not sure yet.

what about silver instead of white?

Myself, i was going to do the most of the body parts in black with antique brass accents, but i have decided to flip it and do it mostly in the brass and black accents. I DO like black, but i wanted something a lil different.

Is there any color, in general, that you lean towards? Personally, I like blue. I'm in the midst of choosing colors for the GK that I'm restoring. I find myself looking at the colors of cars I see, hoping to find one that I really like. So far, I'm leaning towards a blue-ish grey as the primary color and an ice blue as a secondary color. I think the same color combo would look good on your's. Of course, just my opinion, but thats what you asked for.

Common sense has become so uncommon that I consider it a super power.

      Present Stable includes:
      '74 GT750 Resto-mod I've owned since '79
      '83 GS1100E (The best E I've ever enjoyed, Joe Nardy's former bike)

Here's a couple of photoshop tests. I do like the stripe around the center color, so I'm trying to keep it. I'm not trying to go with bold colors, like RED or BLUE or ORANGE. If I had a different bike, maybe, but I want to keep this one with somewhat classic colors. Then the thought of keep it simple and going with BLACK comes to mind, but I get a lot of compliments on my tank the way it is, so I'd like to keep it that way.

GOLD STRIPE W/ SILVER: AND SILVER STRIPE W/DINGY WHITE

...and yes....the emblems will most likely be shaved off. Nothing against Suzuki, just going for the look.

I also think the silver would be better than white, for sure!
Those badges, I always remove anything like that, but that is just me.
How about all yellow with a yellow frame, Dupont canary yellow with silver metallic!!

IF yer gonna do anything with yellow, you gotta have somebuddy paint up some nice, subtle, ghost smiley faces, demonic or otherwise. Painted in just faint enough so you really have to look to notice, then, you'll never look at the bike again without those ghosts comin' at ya!!!!!!

I like the antique white idea. I think you can do better than the single pinstripe surround - maybe a double like the stock GS pattern?

Don't forget to post photos when you are done.

You will have to ignore a couple things like the fact this is an L model tank, it has the SUZUKI still on it,
and it has some pin stripes that are not likely to your taste, but here is a tank in dark blue and silver:
