Bought a new throttle cable, but this is a non stock application(gsxr cable to gsxr carbs to stock 83 1100 throttle housing). It's been over 10 years since I replaced it. Got about a 1/4 inch of slop, with throttle grip side adjusted more than half way out. The carb side has 1/3" +/- room to adjust, but not sure if that'll be enough.
I recall Posplayer doing something on the throttle grip, for quarter turn throttle, wondering if I could theoretically add something to the throttle grip housing slot to take up slack. I remember a friend soldering the end a bit shorter, but thought maybe I could figure out another way. Don't trust my soldering skills. I need to figure this out before 2 pm tomorrow PST or just use my old one, but it's on its last leg. Thanks for any suggestions or advice
