A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

well i just got most of this project back together and it seems as if the chain is not seating on the back sprocket well at all just along the top of the teeth i have loosened it tightened it and still the same. any ideas or questions for me i appreciate it.
Jesse:confused:

sounds like you may have an incompatible sprocket... I would take some measurements on the chain and sprocket and make sure they are made for each other.

Are the chain and sprocket new?

If not, that is another reason they might not be compatible.

A sprocket that is deeply worn, and a new chain can also show those signs.
(So can a new sprocket and a worn chain.)

Unless they are both new or have been run together, you will wear out both of them rather quickly.

.

You positive they are the SAME type of sprocket?? Ive seen someone use (accidentally) a 530 front and a 630 rear...Will KINDA work, but not really. If they're older stuff, i would just buy a new 530 conversion kit from Z1 and be sure I had what i needed. Cost about 140 bucks for a new chain, sprockets, and the spacer and master link...Also, BE SURE that you have your rear wheel spacers in correctly. I made a mistake in their order once, and it ruined a sprocket and made for some squirly handling untill id figured out what i had stupidly done...DOH!

the rear sprocket is a 41 tooth 630 and i looked it up and gs750 comes with a 41 tooth so is that wrong thanks for the opinions so far
i got the bike in peices so im managing to get it together but i hope there is a easy fix it only cost me 200$ for the bike and i rewired it all up and painted it and now rebuilt carbs and just want to see if she will ride :)
