A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Mark,
Be careful; there's a limit to how many toys a guy can have. At least, according to my ex-wife.
Niels

Niels......I think we may have the same Ex:eek:

Dang Mark, that's just not fair to those of us who want a new bike but have college bound kids!! That is such a sweet looking bike.

Its funny you should mention kids at College - This month represents my last one graduating :) So no sympathy here - I have paid my time (and money)...... this is my celibration.

Pete, well yes I have put a few miles on the Guzzi, but I have moved a few things on with the GS. I have a small nose fairing fitted but had to modify the mounting brackets and headlight. Will take a few pics this weekend.

And it's about time :p

Cool, looking forward to the pic's :)

Sorry, I'm having withdrawals from almost no progress with the little Duc...

Hey Mark, what's happening? Still waiting for those pic's... any further progress?

Not so much progress over the summer but it continues to take shape. The arrangement of the fairing and headlights tested my patience between the headlight and fairing brackets I had to juggle to get the position right.

Well Mark she looks good!

That bodywork looks great with tank and the tank alignment is spot on as well.

How soon 'til you pull her down for paint?

Thanks Pete. I'm happy with the overall alignment of the tank, seat and fairing too. I still have plenty of work to do before paint though. The gas cap sealing may be compromised as once I had sliced the old filler neck off, the hole left was larger than the stock 550 tank I had originally bought it for. Very little surface area for and effective seal. Also I have to extend the seat with glass to meet the tank. Not a job I'm looking forward to.

Mark

Should turn out well though... I'd think with the fuel cap you could graft another filler hole in from a rusted out tank perhaps?

Glassing the seat pan shouldn't be too hard, but yeah it's a messy horrible job that... next time I get to forming something like I did with my tail piece I'll be giving serious thought to using aluminium instead...
