A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hello,

Does anyone know of any replacements for the "T" fitting between carbs 2 and 3 since they are no longer available? Or a way to repair it. Mine is the one with the rubber sleeve with the o-ring-like ridges, and sure enough they are leakung. The other two are fine.

Thanks.

Dan

You can buy a replacement from Z1 Enterprises, or off ebay. Not cheap though.

Thank you Ed, found them on each place. Brass from Z1 Ent for $5.99 and ebay for $21.00 with actual o-rings.

Cheers

Dan

I believe people have successfully put o-rings on the o-ring-less T's. Either just slip them on and jam them in or cut off the bumps and replace them with o-rings.

If you have just put fuel in the carbs for the first time for a while leave it and see what happens. These tees appear to shrink when not used and quickly swell up with a drop of petrol.

We're talking gasoline here people. You know, that stuff that makes flames and burns stuff. Please fix your bikes properly, your life may depend on it (or at least your bikes life).

So you wouldnt recommend the use of teflon tape, Ed?
The fitting was snug, just wanted to make it more snug.

Although I havent put any miles on the bike, its not leaking as of yet.

Ed, you must have seen the way those tees swell up if you dunk them in petrol (if they've dried out). I've no idea what type of rubber they are made of but they squeeze in squeaky like new. No risk whatsoever.

I think this is fine as long as the black rubber coating on the T isn't cracked/split.

As for teflon tape, I'm not sure but in general I don't like the idea since it's a misapplication of that material.
