DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

For those interested in vintage racing and want to see my GS powered sidecar, I'll be at NJMP for the AHRMA races Aug 3/4 :-\\\

....and my '82 katana. First time for me at NJMP, all the way from Oregon. New tracks are always a blast!

Good luck to both of you!

A bit far for me to go, I'll be at the Castle Rock TT

We had 3 bikes for the race -- Erik Green, Ivan Messina and I. I had the only P3. Although I took first on Sat overall, it was in the rain and we were sliding everywhere. Coming from a dirt background, this didn't bother me much. I slid off the track in turn one after winning the drag race, then Erik Green spun out. Ivan put down good times but ran slow. I won, Ivan was 2nd and Erik 3rd.

Sunday was a whole different story.

Erik and I were posting nearly identical lap times in practice. I decided to drop a gear on the primary which turned out to be the best decision of the weekend. I knew this was going to be a brutal race since Erik is such an experienced racer. If I had been on a vintage, the result would have been entirely different, I'm sure.

At the start, I was nervous and kept hitting the rev limiter on the drag race to turn 1. I had a nice lead in-spite of that but not enough. Erik passed me at turn 3 and I tried to keep up. By the time we got to the straight, I had closed the gap but not enough to overtake him and pass. I followed him the second lap and stayed on his ass, then passed him on the straight. He got me again but this time at turn 5. This repeated EVERY lap!!! Fortunately I was slowly pulling bigger and bigger leads on the straight and pushing harder into the corners; he was passing me latter and latter each lap.

Last lap I thought for sure I had it sown up. I didn't see the nose of Erik's sidecar at all until turn 10 and there he was! He didn't complete the pass and this was where I go WOT through the chicanes into the straight.

End result, I won by a few bike lengths.

Race times

Ken - 16:25:34.898

Erik - 16:25:36.470

Ivan - 16:25:59.666

Congratulations, Ken.
Especially in your Class, it must be a blast racing with/against riders you can trust.

Wow Ken, that had to have been some good racing. Congratulations on the win. Eric is the fellow who's wife is the passenger right? I'm glad you ol' GS held up. Wheres the next race?

you missed a good show. I'm done for the year. The furlough of Gov employees has gutted the race budget.
