A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So, my 1982 850GLZ seems to have an unique seat as I have found. But I have the original seat cover on mine. Torn and ratty leaves to replace it. So, I ordered the new seat cover from the nearest Suzuki shop. I get it 3 weeks later I take in my old seat cover and they look nothing alike. So, they ordered a different one to try it.

So my question is this, does anyone know the right seat cover code from saddleman seat covers company?

I am not sure which seat cover they offer is the right one. And that seems to be the company the local shop uses.

A quick search of the Saddlemen site shows that you are looking for Model S645.

There is no picture there, and it may appear just a bit different than stock, but it's pretty close.

.

Thanks Steve, I believe that is the second one the local shop ordered. and Dan, I went to that site, the only suzuki seats the do are newer ones lie the Boulevards.

Ok, I decided maybe this thread could help everyone.

If everyone who comes to this page could possibly post up the brand name and model number of seat cover and/or foam/seatcover kit, along with the bike type it may help anyone ordering a seat cover for their bike.

I will start:
I got mine today and it is as follows;

'82 GS850GLZ: Model number S637 for http://www.saddlemen.com

Hope to see more posts from all of you.

I just ordered a custom seat cover for my 1980 GS850GT from this site:

http://www.verdepowersports.com/

They had some listings on E-Bay for both the 850G and GL. I called and talked to them and they said they do indeed have the patterns for both.

Ordered one in black, with red stitching, and red stitched flames on the back half of the seat. Hoping it looks good! Was $99.00 with shipping...
