All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone know of a good place to order some drag style bars from canada?

I had to buy mine from Pingel in the U.S. for about $500.00 but there isn't any reason you can't have any competent machine shop make you a pair. Pingel's are made of 4130 chrome moly but unless you are building a rocket fast dragbike ordinary metal tubing would work fine. Try googling it.

CUSTOM DRAG BRACER BARS

Design your own wheelie bars. If our Universal Drag Bracer Bars will not work for your application, we specialize in building and shipping custom
Drag Bracer Bars in 1-2 days.

We will need these measurements: See above photos

1. TOP TUBE LENGTH ? use a piece of string and measure from top tube mounting hole back to your desired length (remembering wheelie bar wheels will be off the ground approximately 2?).
TOP TUBE MOUNTING HOLE DIAMETER ? our standard is 3/8? with counter bore end. If mounting in a channel, give channel width dimension.
2. BOTTOM TUBE LENGTH ? use a piece of string and measure from bottom tube mounting hole back to your top tube total length.
3. MOUNTING WIDTH ? if you have mounting tabs measure from outside of left tab to outside of right tab. If you have a mounting channel measure from inside of left channel to inside of right channel and also channel width.
4. TOP TUBE MOUNTING TO BOTTOM TUBE MOUNTING DISTANCE ? measure from top tube mounting hole to bottom tube mounting hole.

dragbars

My gs1000 has what are, if I remember right, Flanders bars.
They have a website with all the specs of the different bars
and can be purchased thru Dennis Kirk online, MAW, etc...
They are about $50.

Are you looking for drag style bars or actual drag bars?

The local motorcycle shop should be able to sell you new ones for about $15.00 (US) Or get them on Fleabay
