A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

As most of your know who will read this I am trying to start fixing up my '83 GS750ESD. Now I have a multitude of things which are requiring to be fixed so naturally I thought well I'll just get the individual parts and ship them to me. While browsing e-bay just now I found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2415549519&category=10066
It is in Texas and I would think shipping to BC, Canada would be expensive, I have never shipped a bike tho so I don't know. Can I get some feedback on this? The bike has basically everything I need, exhaust, swingarm, dash, levers, pegs...lemme know what you all think.
Cheers,
Shaun

I didn't look at the bike but you could email the guy offering to pay full price and then have him remove the parts you want. In return he gets to keep what's left over and sell it again.

Good luck, Steve

You may want to email the seller. I talked to to him last weekend on the phone(I live in a suburb of Ft. Worth, TX) and he is actively parting the bike as you read this so you may be able to purchase the parts you need reasonably without bidding on the complete bike.

you are looking at $500?????? for shipping plus the import hassels.
Shipping smaller parts is the way to do it. have the person who is shipping the parts to mark the box as a gift. I have a 82 750 swing arm and foot pegs if they will work for you

yah I am not buying the bike, the guy is parting it out to quickly and really it would prob not be worth it in the end except that I'd prob end up parting it out when I was done with it. I did get a couple parts from him tho. Thanks for your offer SqDancerLynn1 but I am pretty sure an '82 swingarm won't fit because the 750 got revamped for the '83 lineup and I have one on the way too but I appreciate the offer. with any luck my swingarm willl be here next week and I can get to work on slowly fixing her up.
Cheers,
Shaun
