Buying used shocks question, Advice sought

I'd like your opinions on this Craigslist deal: http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/mcy/2439837846.html

The selling is offering 2002 Harley Prgressive shocks for $125. Is this a good deal? They're eye-to-eye, but i'm not sure if they're totally compatible with my GS1000GL.

Any advice?

It's a wear item , so there's some obvious factors to consider:
price new vs. 125
How many miles are on these
How are the roads where PO used them
Is PO a fata$$

The length eye to eye might match but what about the eyelet size for the bolt?
Those would be be my questions.....
