I'm anticipating doing a carb dip on the 550es, as it has been sitting far too long without a rider. It's been stored with Stabil or some other such fuel stabilizer for quite some time. I am not averse to having the carbs repainted/powder coated, but I'd like to avoid it if possible.
I have used Kleen-Flo (yes, that is the gawd-awful smelly one) to remove paint from brake calipers in the past, which I assume are powder coated like the carbs. Is there any dip that will clean the carbs, but not kill the black powder coat?
