A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Chucks Skunk #2 Project

Yes Dale it worked fine. I just stripped the emblem and painted it. Its in the oven baking. I gotta crash for work tonight , so it will be on the bike in the afternoon tomorrow. And Rob,,, I got a figure in my head already. But until i get the seat right and the ignition cover Im not gonna list it. Not my style to list something thats still in need of a few doodads.

Turned out real nice Chuck, jolly good job you done there, take a bow sir.

Chuck,
It sure does look nice,
a little naked without that grab rail though.
So, what's the status of your Pit Replica Skunk seat?
Heard where over 500 people died in Thailand because of the flooding.

Steve..the latest from pit replica is that the shop is flooded in nearly 1 meter of water and they arent able to produce anything. So its anyones guess what the time frame will be now......Frank, yup i got the carbs for the Hondamatic ready to go. In fact, I already swapped the skunk to the shed and have the Honda on the patio.

That's a sorry state of affairs for Pit Replica, looks like things are on a indefinite holding pattern.

November and your working on bike out on the patio? Must be nice living in Texas!!!
Congrats on a job well done Chuck. Very, very nice!

Fantastic looking bike Chuck. She's going be a beauty for someone that's for sure. You think she's going to be hard to put a price tag on?

Oh, man.....that thing has got to be worth a thousand bucks!!

I am writing the check now, I just need an address :p

Just how many "thousands" is that check gonna be for?? If you hit the right number I will give you my addy...clear title in my name!!!

That's odd....I believe I sent my cooley seat after you sent yours. I have a tracking number for mine and the replica is posted on ebay.

If my memory serves me correctly, they always did have the Cooley (Thier version of the 79 gs 1000 ) listed. I recall lookingb at them before i sent my cover and saw that it was the wrong pattern. Now is your coming back to you free of charge or did they charge you?

They did have the cooley cover listed. I had many emails back and forth and finally convinced them that my cooley cover for the 80 model was the correct design.

As they list in their ebay ads, if you supply the seat for a template, your cover is free. That is the deal we made, no charge for my cover. I did pay to ship my cover, but that is it.

I will post pictures of the cover when I receive it. They do have it listed on ebay with pics and it looks pretty good.

I had the option of the authentic stitching or the embossed vinyl. I chose the stitched option for the authenticity, so I would assume that the ones listed on ebay are the same.

I believe I have a luggage rack for the 750A. Let me know if you want it.

I have the rack with the Hondamatic..not in the best shape. I was gonna throw it out and not get another. But thanks for the offer.

Found some pics of the bike the day it showed up on the semi. The one is in the back of the truck still on the shipping pallet. Small crease in the rear right of the tank and rusty where the stickers were on the top. Thanks for passing the old girl to me Scot..
