A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Has anyone else had any problems with the cometic cfm series head gaskets weeping oil ?? I got one in my Wiseco big bore kit and i felt uneasy that it did not use the o rings around the oil feed holes in the head like the stock one!
when i installed it (no sealer) torque the head up in three steps fired the motor and shortly after started to see oil weeping around the head Ithen pulled the valve cover (darn gaskets are getting expensive!!) and rechect the torque and sure enough they had loosed up. retorqued again and it looked good for 50 miles or so now its weeping oil again around the sealing area.
when i built this motor all sealing surface were Spotless and flat the motor did not leak before the rebuild. If i have to pull the head i will CRY!!!

Hi

No seeping of oil from the top end of the motor from my GS1000 with

Wiseco 73.5 mm pistons and Cometic CFM-20 gasket.

thanks maybe ill check the head bolt torque setting again.

I have a simular problem, I rebuilt the engine (GS1000G) and did not put the "o" rings on the standard suzuki head gasket, and yes it weeps.
Not much, but I can see it on both sides after every ride.
Guess, I will be pulling the head again......

yes thats whats gets me the standard suzuki gasket has them built into the gasket the cometic is designed not to use them ( theres no place to put any orings)
